Three extremely easy dungeons and a lame post game tower. That's the whole game.
This game is clearly made for a type of person I am not. But that doesn't take away from the fun I had. It has a lot of replayability if you like speed, but I'm a one and done man. Made it halfway up the tower mode before I got stunlocked in a corner. That is my main gripe. Story is there but limited, hitboxes are a bit too wide as I find myself bumping off of every wall I come to. I think the game looks good for what it is trying to emulate, but there is something about the style. It has a very depressing tone to it. Best way to describe it is I get the same feeling playing this as I do playing the axiom verge games. Like there is a hopelessness feel to it. Offputting. But I'd still recommend as overall FUN GAME
Overall the nostalgia from Zelda is unmistakingly here. Short as hell since 40 minutes to finish the whole game is extremely little but the fun you get from it is worth it, especially with the game being discounted to just £2. I guess the only thing bad about the game is that I want more of it... so basically its a shout out to devs.. please make more, it's awesome what you did here
Small, short, sweet
Pretty good Zelda Links Awakening homage. The levels are short enough to beat in one or two sittings. There's no big adventure or sense of exploring though.
THIS LOOKS LIKE A NINTENDO ZELDA TYPE GAME AND HAS NON STOP ACTION AND MOVING BLOCKS AND KILLING LITTLE ENEMIES TO PROGREES TO THE BIGGER BOSSES - THAT ARE VERY EASY TO BEAT. FOR THE MONEY IT IS A VERY GOOD GAME AND I AM NOW ON THE 2ND PART OF THE GAME..... THE TOWER. I HAVE ENJOYED PLAYNG HIS GAME SO FAR AND LOOK FORWARD TO SIMILAR TYPE GAME - BUT MUCH MUCH LONGER PLEEAASE! 8/10 for this game and its worth the cheap price too!
When I first bought this game I was expecting a simple small map to explore with some cool dungeons, similarly to the gameboy zelda games it clearly takes inspiration from. You can imagine my surprise when I soon realized that whole island was a tutorial for the actual game which turned out to be a 2d zelda inspired roguelike, and I gotta say I really enjoyed this title and I actually ended up playing it for much longer than I anticipated. It took me 4 hours to beat it, and yet despite the short length I felt really satisfied and felt like I had my money's worth by the end. (Considering it goes on sale pretty often too) If you like 2D zelda and want to see a title like it with a cool Roguelike twist, I really reccommend you give it a shot.
If you want a small (~1h) Zelda experience, this is just the right game for you. There’s also another survival tower mode as a nice bonus.
Story Mode ótimo, mas extremamente curto. A The Tower é terrivel por se sustentar em sistema de roguelike, se o jogo principal fosse mais longo no lugar dessa tranqueira, o jogo seria perfeito.
