Casino Heist

A game where you play as a racing driver and charm beautiful women? Anyone who knows me knows that I like a good racing game and also enjoy VNs with beautiful anime ladies too. But combining both? That’s a dream come true! Unfortunately, there is no racing component to this game. It’s about an ex-racing driver, but I did enjoy the fact that the topic comes up quite often. If this game had combined dating beautiful women and actual racing, it may very well have been the perfect game for me, but oh well… one can dream. On to the review: [b]Story[/b] I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Visual Novels are mostly about the writing and no matter how nice the graphics are, it’s the story that will keep you going. In this case I liked the story a lot. It was witty, sharp and to the point. The jokes were actually funny and the characters distinct and likeable. My main criticism is that the game is a bit short, I finished my first playthrough in just under two-and-a-half hours and I’m a fast reader. I felt that at least one of the missions should have been twice as long, and I really think more subplots with the other characters in the crew would have made the experience a bit more fun and would have done a lot towards fleshing them out more. Especially as they later become the romantic interests. The Heist elements are good, but I don’t think the author followed Rick’s formula for a Heist film (Rick and Morty fans will get the reference). [b]Art[/b] I really loved the art in this game. The character sprites look awesome and have so much personality to them! This game also has tons of CGs (and H-scenes if you get the 18+ patch) and you get quite a lot of both. The CGs are really nice (both normal and of the H variety) and really help to immerse in the story. [b]Music[/b] Music is good. A lot of electric guitar. Like a lot! Both funky style and electric guitar soloing a la Joe Satriani style. I like Joe Satriani so it was good for me. Surprisingly this game had quite a bit of rock music, which isn’t what I typically think of for heist films, but it works. If you like the electric guitar then consider getting the OST, if you don’t, then maybe play this game on mute! [b]Gameplay[/b] Well, it’s a Visual Novel and Dating Sim, so I think you probably know what you’ll get. Read through the story and make choices! There are missions where you have to “charm” characters to get items that are crucial for the heist and on those missions you have to detect the right choices. It’s pretty good and I do feel that the heist genre mixes well with the Visual Novel style if you’re the character doing the infiltrating, if you want to be the character doing the actual action then maybe play Payday or GTA 5 instead. There is a dating aspect to it too and there are romantic arcs. I don’t want to spoil that too much, but know that there is also a romantic aspect to this game, it’s not just a big heist mission. I do really wish that it had some casino minigame or racing game, but alas, I don’t think this is what these devs do and probably wouldn’t be so great at it anyway. I mean there is this cheezy sort of roulette game where I spent way too long trying to get all of the gambles right, but it’s not really a minigame! [b]TL:DR - Conclusion[/b] Yeah, it’s a solid game with strong and witty writing, beautiful art and a guitarist who clearly loves himself. It’s punchy and never boring but also a tad rushed and a bit short for my liking. However I kind of want to give it a slightly higher score because it has a gal in uniform and I love me gals in uniforms! Score - 7.5/10

I gave this game a shot, but I can't recommend this game. Went into it with high hopes, but came out disappointed. It's visual novel with (optional) adult elements. Let's break it down: The story and dialogue. The story's concept is solid and is probably the highlight of the game. Who doesn't like a good heist (with a little sexy thrown in)? Bonus point in that none of the characters are professional thieves, which is an interesting twist. The dialogue however is where it all flops face down, hard. It is awkward, clunky, and downright cringe inducing in parts. This is with the American vs British lexicon in mind. This is with the fact it's a porn game in mind because the "sexy" talk is the worst offender. The adult scenes would make dialogue spoken by Johnny Sins look Shakespearean by comparison. It did make me laugh at times, but because of how ridiculous some of the dialogue can be. The adult parts. Ah yes the reason most of us are all here. Sadly dear reader, tits could not save this game either. The scenes are lacking. Literally, it's one still frame per scene of which there are four in the game. Now, now, I know it's an $8 game and the adult content is free, but I've played cheaper, text based games by Choice of Games with no nudity that got me hotter than this game did. The art. The art is limited, but pretty good when taken individually. When taken together, characters look pretty inconsistent between their close-up portrait, sexy time portrait, and their main dialogue portrait. The close-up portraits look in a different art style altogether which breaks the immersion a bit, at least for me. There is not a whole lot to the game, and nothing I think I will want to revisit in the future. Better luck fapping elsewhere.

I bought the game cause I liked the girls art and for the adult patch. sex is not animated but glad to have any R18+. Valentina is the hottest girl. there is a lot of reading as this is all visual novel.

You are a former race car driver who is now part of a group that intends to rob Las Vegas casinos. Along the way there are a number of women who you can seduce. Decent enough.

It's short. It's cute. The writing isn't half bad, until the H-scenes, which are still images that are... adequate, if not as well crafted or even the same art style as the rest of the title. And the dialog parts of the h-scenes are ridiculously silly and cringe-worthy. But, whatever, this is a short, cute, fun story.

I wanted to like it, and the general story isn't bad. The dialogue for encounters is ridiculous, and so funny in how ridiculous it is that the scenes lost enjoyment. Makes me look forward to future visual novels in that they will learn and get it right, but on its own this story doesn't feel ultimately satisfying.

Chorizo Time!

For some reason I like those lighthearted VN from this developer. Except for the adult part they are well written and OK to follow. Also it seems the art style is improving game by game. I think I liked this one more than a couple of previous ones I played.

Excellent story, well written. Dialogues all make sense and are well thought out. Decisions are more or less based on reality and provide more or less expected results. The artwork is excellent, but there is only one character sprite attached to each character for the entire game. The 18+ content is a different story. Each encounter provides one picture that is used through everything: conversation changes, scene changes, activity changes. It is pretty jarring to have everything in the scene represented by one image—and the images are of a lower artistic quality as well. It is almost as if the artist for the game refused to do the 18+ content, so they got someone else to draw one image for each of the 18+ scenes. Note: if you play the game with the DLC, none of the saves for the DLC game seem to play properly when it is NOT installed. Overall, with the compelling story this game is worth getting. It is moderately short (perhaps 4-5 hours to read everything), so consider waiting for a good sale before purchase.
