Carrier Was pretty cool. I like getting free to play releases like this. If you have any interest in a free atmospheric puzzle game you should check this out.
It makes person think spy drama almost immediately but then again you think tv transmission because that what it is. One transmission that carriers and takes it out or signal blocks it. I can't make pass mission five that something take quite lot snappy finger action. its pretty interesting good game to have around. No violence if your thinking stopping your signal is close you get, or failure to your mission.
Carrier is a free simple relaxing puzzle game. It doesn't have much to the game play but it's still really fun and relaxing to play. The backkground music piece is also very good.
Despite its plain and catchy puzzle premise, Carrier is unfortunately more frustrating than fun. From the technical issues to the core gameplay, this game fails to be fully convincing. As a basis, the presentation is simple and pertinent. The CRT filter adds a nice touch to the clear and model-like graphics without obstructing the view on the puzzles. It's a fitting look that carries a secret radio transmission retro vibe. The ambient music with its distinctive synth contributes towards that. However, the single short track that noticeably loops in the background becomes unbearable after just a few minutes. The puzzles are generally well thought-out but are either too time consuming or lacking features such as a fast-forward button. There's a high chance to mess up, especially in later missions with multiple stations and faster scramblers to navigate through. The lack of a retry key caps that off. Granted, this game might be much less annoying for players better than I. Without going into greater detail Carrier has a lot of constantly recurring menu bugs, control inconsistencies and only three fixed resolutions as the sole customisable option. There's potential for a fun puzzle game but essential elements and polish are missing. (Completed 12 missions of 30, progressed up to world 3 of 5)
fun with a capital U!
<THIS GAME IS AWSOME, AND AWSOME ARCADE GAME WITH ABSOLUTELY GREAT ARTSTYLE AND GREAT MECHANICKS, SIMPLE BUT COOL>
Carrier is a relaxing game that still offers tense and exciting moments. The background music is calming and reminisent of drinking cola on the hood of your car in 1987. Its a great game to play for those looking for a puzzle/reaction time challenge. It gives the feeling of reaching out for a connection with the rest of the world, only to have it brutally taken away by evil red cell phone jamming devices. Its also great to play while waiting for a lobby in other games, or while your friend goes to take a piss while playing a multiplayer game. Would highly recommend.
