Carnal Sins: Malum Incarnatum + Carne Vescens

"Carnal Sins" is made up of two interactive mood pieces with fantastic atmosphere. Malus Incarnatum is a sobering experience about the messiness of life and the pursuit of love, while Carne Vescens is a quite disturbing short story about motherhood. Both are short and sweet, and well worth the time spent on them. Proof positive that you can do a lot with a little if you know what you're doing.

Du cinéma d'art et essai, mais interactif. Carnal Sins rassemble deux expériences plutôt courtes à l'interactivité type "walking simulator" mais avec un environnement plus abstrait qui m'a rappelé les premières séquences de Max Payne (paie ta référence de vieux). Le rendu visuel est rétro, la musique et les ambiances sonores sont totalement dans les registres angoissants, l'histoire est beaucoup plus évoquée que racontée, le rythme est ralenti. C'est un peu Begotten mais en interactif, et ça c'est bien. C'est une intéressante exploration des thèmes de l'amour, de l'attachement, et de la possession ; pour moins cher qu'un café je ne peux que conseiller d'y aller.

Two short horror experiences tied by the themes of love and sin. Though straightforward and simple, it has not left my mind since playing. Presentation levels through the roof, I really enjoy the style and visuals of Malum Incarnatum. It feels almost early Lynchian. True endings and achievements are easy to get even without a guide. Short but extremely worth the two dollars USD.
