First impressions based on 30 mins play time is that the game has promise. The setting is on a space ship returning to Earth and the object is to kill the creatures that escaped during transit. You play in a very dark enviroment with some light showing on computer screens and other panels around you. This light helps but is not enough to light up the dark room you're in. This is where you need to rely on your hand scanner (place your two hands together in a clap motion to activate that) and the torches on each pistol you carry. You progress through to the next room using locomotion once you've cleared the room you are in first. You will need to use your scanner as some of the creatures are small and hard to spot. Once you know where they are, you move your hands apart and automatically equip pistols in both hands. Each pistol has a torch that light up the room in front of you helping you to shoot the creatures in your line of sight. Putting both weapons together (one in front of the other) they combine into a sort of lazer/plasma rifle. Moving your hands back from that position returns your pistols. I didn't notice a health bar while in game yet I knew I was being hit by something as small slatters of blood was visibly hitting the screen edges. Will you eventually die at some point, I have yet to find out. I also got the impression that you go from room to room set in a large square. No corridors were available to go through into another level which I assume will come as you level up or later. Pros: Small download and is quick to load up. Good graphics and smooth simplistic game play. Minimal use of controller buttons (fire buttons seem to be the main ones used). Played in Standing mode on VR Cons: No ability to exit the game or return to the starting room once you are playing a level. Could get repetative. No score or health bar! As I said at the start, this game shows promise. A good effort by the developer :) Rating: 7/10
Pro: - Gun mechanics is cool. I mean not only the way they shoot but how you change weapons. - Interestingly solved movement (teleport via scanner) Cons: - Repetetive environment - Small variety of enemies
I received this in a bundle and wasn’t expecting a whole lot, but surprise: it’s a really fun game! It has that dark and creepy aliens/doom 3 type atmosphere, with simple but satisfying shooting and teleport mechanics. I love the way they incorporated the tracked motion controller to create the different guns! At points it’s really tough; like you teleport right into the middle of a room, surrounded by bad guys. Hope you have a wireless solution :) I’ll take this one over many of the other monster-wave-shooters any day. (Also, the ping pong minigame in the lobby has surprisingly good physics, too.)

Genial? Nein Bewegungsprofile: Fest vorgegebene Teleportation. Keine freie Bewegung Besonderheiten: Sehr gute Atmosphäre Pro: - Schöne Grafik - Gute Physik Engine Kontra: - Bug.
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
This is a hidden gem. I got this for $2.49 USD during the Steam Summer sale and feel it was one of my best purchases. However, you have to realize what you're getting. This is a no-holds barred standing 360 arcade challenge shooter. There's no story. The only point is to sruvive as long as possible and climb the leaderboards. However, this game does it extremely well. The graphics look really good even though they slightly vary from corridor to corridor. You're basically looking at very dark corridors of an unknown spaceship. Your guns automatically light the direction they are pointing. You quickly change guns by gesture. For example, you hold one hand gun in front of the other to make a shotgun. You hold them side by side to make a teleporter, etc. The whole process is quick & seamless. There are no reloads. You will use the different guns strategically, although to start you'll probably hold on to the default handguns until you get used to changing out for maximizing damage. You can snap turn, but I recommend real life turning as snap turns will probably get you killed. You want to quickly turn where you hear the sounds. This game does a *GREAT* job of spatial audio. So you'll need to listen carefully and turn quickly and start shooting. There are no reloads. Once you clear the room, you get out your teleporter and teleport to the next node. There aren't many enemy types, but there's enough to keep it interesting. That's basically the whole game. It's quick, mindless, violent fun. This game is perfect for showcasing to friends or famly because it's easy enough to pick up and play. Sale Price Rating 7/10.
Cargo Breach is a fixed position VR exclusive static shooter where you just look around and use your VR controllers to shoot aliens as they come running at you. The object of the game is to see whether you can finish it or uninstall it before Fox Pictures sues the developer for ripping off Aliens. The game is very simplistic, small and limited in scope and ambition. This feels more like a tech demo, proof of concept or student homework assignment rather than a fully fledged product designed for PC gamers. As such it doesn't offer any real value as a serious PC game. All you do is stand there and shoot, occasionally "teleporting" to a different position... like the developers didn't even bother with proper locomotion. What a joke. This seems to have been made a VR exclusive to prevent any comparison with non-VR 3D games, a comparison that this game would fail very badly at. Developers must learn that while VR is great, if the only thing that makes the game great is the VR, then the game isn't great at all. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. Cargo Breach didn't appeal much to the people who own a copy of the game, either. It has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game didn't really capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is "Ping Pong Master", trivial to get, but less than 12 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. Hardly a success story, gamers just weren't all that interested in the game. The poor quality of this game is also reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 4 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 100,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality game this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam? Cargo Breach is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. This is also competing with over 11,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.
Pretty decent wave based shooting game with very nice graphics and mechanics. Pros: The environements are very detailed. Great looking game. Some unique weapons and weapon transformations. Creature that runs on the walls and ceilings is pretty awesome and scary. Cons: Very few rooms right now on launch. Sometimes hard to tell if you are hitting the enemy (ground alien). Definetly, worth a watch this game. Its early days right now so im hoping for great things in this game over time! Right now its pretty decent, doesnt really have any bugs either, but its also pretty small on number of content, that will hopefully improve though.
Clunky controls enjoyable but definitely needs work
Time Crisis meets Aliens in the horror shooter. You're awaken from your cry-slumber...only to find that something has gotten out of the cargo. And that something is pi$$ed off. It's now on you to go from room to room clearing these mama jammas out...for more infor check out the full Barefootgaming review here https://youtu.be/Auja3fFNtrw
