"Captain Velvet Meteor: The Jump+ Dimensions" is an action-adventure game with turn based combat. Live the adventure through the eyes of a scared kid that tries to overcome his fears and becomes a superhero in his mind! Help him conquer them, along with his robot friend Jay-P, and face them off! Watch as everyday stuff transform into enemies and combat them harmonically in union with your friend. You might have forgotten the times when as a kid in your mind the mall was a king's castle or when your back yard was a forest with mythical creatures but this game will make you remember and relive those beautiful memories. A burst of emotions will flow through you! Featuring eight Jump+ characters and a crazy plot, it's very fun and entertaining! Well written dialogues and exceptional friends and foes! Along with a great cast of characters, comes an awesome soundtrack and pretty visuals, which help a lot with the atmosphere of the game. Of course, all of these wouldn't amount to much if the combat wasn't satisfying! And oh... It is [b]very[/b] satisfying! You'll learn most of it through the tutorial. The combat is easy to understand and pleasing. The controls are good, the combos are interesting and the cooperation with Jay-P feels great! You'll need to think how to proceed but, all in all, it's a forgiving game for all ages! Still, it doesn't feel like it lacks in anything - and it doesn't! If you ever wanted to feel like a little kid again, and play using your imagination, this is game to do it! Become a superhero and experience the rise in confidence! I have to warn you though.. It's immersive. You won't feel like you are playing a role; you'll [b]BE[/b] the superhero achieving difficult goals and making things right! Toma nota jump force, esto es un verdadero crossover. Jugamos como un niño francés que se muda a Japón que esta triste por dejar sus amigos y vida atrás. Como su alter ego, captain velvet meteor, completaremos unas cuantas tareas hogareñas que nos ha encargado su madre. En cada una de estas tareas nos acompañara un personaje distinto de la shonen jump. Los personajes estan perfectamente representados, la historia esta muy bien explorando las inquietudes del niño frente a todo lo nuevo. En cuanto al gameplay, es un juego táctico muy casual, asi que si este no es tu género, no temas pues se requiere la mínima planificación y como cada acto nos acompaña un personaje diferente, el estilo de juego cambia bastante por lo que no se vuelve aburrido en ningún momento. La verdad todo muy bien, muy recomendado.

I've been playing it for awhile, made it through a few stages/bosses thus far. I absolutely dislike the level with Chloe and the boss fight led to me rage quitting during my current play through. It's just an incredibly frustrating boss fight that requires things to go just right in order to ensure you can move close enough to the boss to make your attack in 2 turns. After 6 or 7 tries I've given up for now because it's just infuriating. Aside from that I've been having a great time. I enjoy how each new character you meet gives you a new mechanic to deal with and utilize, it's very cool. Graphics are great, and the comic book style cut scenes are great. The game is very charming, and it has this feeling of wonder that you'd fully expect from a child's point of view. Frustrations aside, this is a very enjoyable turn based strategy game that gets a full recommendation.

Me esperaba otra cosa más compleja y genérica, pero es accesible, divertido, y con mecánicas muy originales que integran muy bien la parte estratégica casi sin darte cuenta. Y la narrativa también acompaña con su calidad. Muy contento con haberle dado una oportunidad.

Ich durfte Captain Velvet Meteor vor Release spielen und streamen, hier meine Bewertung. Ich hatte CVM schon während des Steam Next Fests die Demo gespielt, es gefiel mir. Wer rundenbasierte Strategie mag, wird hier seine Freude haben, es macht Spaß. Etwas ungewohnt ist die Tatsache, dass man 2 Charaktere steuert, die einerseits einzeln angreifen können, andererseits zusammen aber auch Kombos haben, die gut Schaden machen. Die einzelnen Level sind nicht allzu lang, man kann, auch wenn man öfter stirbt, mal eben einen Level spielen und muss nicht mehrere Stunden einplanen. Ich habe in den bisher 2,5 Stunden (0,5 Stunden die Demo, 2 Stunden die Vollversion) keine Bugs gefunden. Mich hatte überrascht, dass die Vollversion den Spielstand der Demo importiert hat, ich konnte also genau da weiterspielen, wo ich bei der Demo aufgehört hatte. Alles in allem ein Daumen nach oben. ********************************* I was allowed to play and stream Captain Velvet Meteor before release, here is my review. I had already played the demo of CVM during the Steam Next Fest, I liked it. If you like turn-based strategy, you'll enjoy it, it's fun. The fact that you control two characters who can attack individually but also have combos that do good damage together is a little unusual. The individual levels are not too long, even if you die a lot, you can just play a level and don't have to plan several hours. I haven't found any bugs in the 2.5 hours I've played so far (0.5 hours in the demo, 2 hours in the full version). I was surprised that the full version imported the demo score, so I was able to continue playing exactly where I left off in the demo. All in all, a thumbs up.

If you like a nice little strategy/puzzle game to occupy your time, go for it. It did catch me off guard with certain battles being more challenging that initially thought. As a fan of a majority of the series that appear in this, its also a good intro to those series if you are interested. Not a deep story but its a relatable story that many are familiar with.
