I'm sorry, I don't know anything about Captain Tsubasa's universe and I thought the game would make me want to discover the series, but in reality it the opposite, I really dislike the game and I don't consider watching the anime now. I really dislike the gameplay, it is too "random" for me, dribbling and defense is just a paper rock scissor with big influance of stats (it seems). I don't know if the game is hard to understand or if it is just poorly made. Even in the tuto I have to do it multiple times with defense and dribble, the timing is very very short, even Dark Souls shields parries are more accessible. I only done the first match of the Tsubasa's story and I had to do it twice, 0-0 the first time with the penalty part being the worse part of the game, how are you supposed to guess where the AI shoot, Fifa and Inazuma Eleven VR are easier with that somehow even if penalty in Football games are the worse part. Second game I thought I did understand with a 3-1, when I tried a free match I saw the game is just random, I couldn't even retrieve the ball properly for some reason, the AI can spam however they want while you, you struggle with a very approximate player switch, a stuck camera and the impossibility of catching up the ball. The game look fast, when it is the AI, but when you have the ball it is everything but fast and fluid, charging a shot or a pass is slow, dribbles are very short in timing if you somehow hit the right imput. The keeper health bar is also very bad in my opinion, in order to score you need to shot repeatedly with a super shot by preference or you will simply never score, the keeper bar is very hard to get it down. I don't really like saying that but, this game really doesn't deserve to be played, maybe it was made to be played online but I don't consider doing that at all. I surely regret to have brought this game and started to discover Captain Tsubasa's license with it, I surely won't replay this game at all and it really killed my hype of discovering the license. I think I will refund the game if I can.

3/10 The gameplay is too complex/difficult for me, and as much as I love animes in general, I couldn't care less about this one. And you'll get LOTS of cutscenes, before, after, and even in the middle of the match. Also, the UI is just terrible. The only upside for me is that it looks great.
If you're old enough to remember Nintendo's World Cup Soccer, this game brings enough back-and-forth rough housing and insanity to make you feel nostalgic. If you're looking for a pro soccer game with all the rules you'd expect, this game isn't it--But if you're looking for an arcade-style romp with over-the-top moves, this game is a blast. I've only played the story mode so far, and can't speak to the quality of online matches.

Nota: 8,5/10

it's great, most of the issues I've heard about are fixed, you don't exclusivly NEED DLC to win because you can gain captain coins for free which gives you great skills, it has great modding Capabilites you can even use The Falcon shot skill model for the Neo drive shot, the main problem is Lag in the Switch version's online which I assume is the same in PC version, even after the first NH story you can gain rewards which lead to a better playthrough of it because you would probably have a better understanding of the game if you have been playing for a while, if you change the graphic settings you can likely fix the Lagging, the game is actually very easy to disable easy anti cheat which makes mod setting up take less time, there exists multiple story routes like the America route which Focuses on The host Continent America and
Their Captain Ryan ortiz
there is the Brazil Route which focuses on Brazil which is Tsubasa's Mentor Roberto hongo's home state Brazil and Carlos Santana.
