Recommend? If you like old-school God of War and their like, yes. In my first hour, I almost refunded this game. I thought it would be a low-poly version of Ryse Son of Rome as Pirates. It is not. The game-play is older then that. Closer to PS2 era God of War. The camera is on a track, not controlled by you. Very off-putting at first if you're used to 3rd person modern brawlers. The combat feels really clunky in that first hour as well. Once you purchase a few combos and the gold giving execution it starts to feel pretty fluid. I would say the range enemies that can stun lock you really hurt the combat in this game, but you can chain executions for immortality frames so.... Long story short, with all those negatives, why do I recommend? I had fun with it. Once I had the basics rolling and restarted at easy (Seriously, it's a slog on normal) I started to enjoy myself quite a bit. Buy it on sale.

Honestly.... It's not that bad. It is repetitive in some places and it can burn a hole in your pants, mostly cuz of enemies with guns, cuz these mfs are hella annoying. I really do believe if this game came out in 2000s it would've been GREAT, awesome even. Unfortunately, if you're not a huge fan of God of War or slasher games you won't enjoy it. Im letting a lot of things slip cuz I like this genre, but I also understand ppl who did not enjoy it (also... I like QTE... I said it, I regret nothing)
Taylor made for your gaming needs

This is a weird recommend, considering I refunded the game, but hear me out. The game is cool, it has a really neat style. It is nothing noteworthy, in terms of the gameplay, and the jank is... well, everywhere. It feels a bit unfair to play, at times, and it is highly repetitive. I suppose my recommend comes from the fact that the game is a time machine, it feels like it belongs back in those beautiful days of the PS2 or Xbox 360. It is 100% something to play, especially on sale, when you want to put those nostalgia goggles on and play something from a much simpler time in gaming. Also, the fact that it ever even got published? That deserves props in and of itself.
