For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Honestly.... It's not that bad. It is repetitive in some places and it can burn a hole in your pants, mostly cuz of enemies with guns, cuz these mfs are hella annoying. I really do believe if this game came out in 2000s it would've been GREAT, awesome even. Unfortunately, if you're not a huge fan of God of War or slasher games you won't enjoy it. Im letting a lot of things slip cuz I like this genre, but I also understand ppl who did not enjoy it (also... I like QTE... I said it, I regret nothing)

It just didn't work on my PC, but worked flawlessly on the Steam Deck for some reason. The game in frankly quite mediocre, but there is some mindless fun to be had. Pick it up on a sale if you want some old time PS2 hack and slash jank and fun.
Captain Blood is a pirate-themed action game developed by Seawolf Studio and General Arcade and published by SNEG. What makes this title particularly interesting is not only its swashbuckling adventure but also the unusual story behind its release. Originally developed many years before it finally reached players, the game arrives as a preserved piece of gaming history, offering a glimpse into the design philosophies of action games from the late 2000s. Rather than being rebuilt from the ground up to meet modern expectations, it embraces its origins and presents a straightforward, combat-focused adventure that feels intentionally rooted in an earlier era. The game casts players as the notorious Captain Blood, a fearless pirate driven by the pursuit of wealth, glory, and adventure. Set across the Caribbean during the age of piracy, the story follows a classic tale of treasure hunting, rival crews, naval confrontations, and dangerous missions. The narrative does not attempt to deliver a complex or emotionally driven experience. Instead, it focuses on providing a fast-moving pirate fantasy filled with action, betrayal, and larger-than-life encounters. This approach allows the game to maintain a consistent pace and keeps the emphasis firmly on gameplay. Combat is the central attraction throughout the adventure. Players spend most of their time fighting waves of enemies using a combination of swords, firearms, and special attacks. The action is intentionally exaggerated, delivering large battles filled with dramatic finishing moves and cinematic takedowns. Encounters are designed to make players feel powerful as they cut through enemy ranks and dominate chaotic skirmishes. While the mechanics may lack the precision and complexity found in modern character-action games, they provide a satisfying arcade-like experience that prioritizes fun over technical mastery. The variety of weapons contributes to the overall enjoyment of combat. Swords remain the primary tool for close-range engagements, but pistols, muskets, explosives, and environmental interactions help diversify encounters. Switching between different offensive options creates a sense of momentum during battles and prevents combat from becoming entirely repetitive. As players progress, additional abilities and upgrades expand the range of available attacks, making later encounters more visually impressive and strategically flexible. One of the game's strongest qualities is its commitment to the pirate theme. The campaign regularly places players in situations that capture the excitement of classic pirate adventures. Boarding enemy ships, engaging in naval assaults, defending vessels from invaders, and searching for valuable rewards all contribute to the fantasy of becoming a legendary sea raider. These moments help distinguish Captain Blood from more generic action titles and reinforce the atmosphere that defines the experience. Progression is handled through a relatively simple upgrade system. Completing missions and defeating enemies rewards players with resources that can be invested in improving combat effectiveness. New abilities, stronger attacks, and enhanced equipment provide a steady sense of advancement without overwhelming players with complicated customization systems. The progression mechanics fit well within the game's straightforward design philosophy and help maintain a satisfying sense of growth throughout the campaign. Visually, Captain Blood reflects the era in which it was originally developed. Character models, environments, and animations may appear dated when compared to contemporary releases, but they possess a certain nostalgic charm. The colorful art style, exaggerated character designs, and dramatic action sequences create an atmosphere that feels reminiscent of action games from the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 generation. Rather than hiding its age, the game embraces it, offering players an authentic glimpse into a style of design that has become increasingly rare. The level structure also reflects its old-school origins. Missions are linear and focused, moving players from one combat scenario to the next with minimal distractions. There are no sprawling open worlds or endless side activities. Instead, the game concentrates on delivering a series of action-packed sequences that maintain momentum from beginning to end. This focused approach may feel refreshing to players who prefer concise adventures over massive open-ended experiences. Of course, the game's age also reveals certain limitations. Combat can become repetitive during longer sessions, enemy behavior is relatively basic, and some mechanics lack the refinement expected from modern action titles. Players accustomed to contemporary combat systems may find the gameplay somewhat simplistic. However, judging Captain Blood purely by current standards misses part of its appeal. The game succeeds largely because it preserves a specific moment in gaming history and delivers the type of experience that was once common but has since become increasingly uncommon. The restoration effort behind the release deserves recognition. Bringing a long-lost project back from obscurity allows players to experience a game that otherwise might never have seen the light of day. The developers and publisher have chosen to preserve much of the original vision while ensuring that it functions properly on modern hardware. This balance between preservation and accessibility gives the game a unique identity that extends beyond its gameplay alone. Captain Blood ultimately succeeds as a fun, unapologetically old-school action adventure. It offers energetic combat, memorable pirate-themed scenarios, straightforward progression, and a strong sense of nostalgia. While it lacks the sophistication of modern action blockbusters, it compensates with charm, personality, and historical significance. For players who enjoy classic hack-and-slash gameplay and the fantasy of becoming a ruthless pirate captain, Captain Blood delivers an entertaining journey filled with cannon fire, sword fights, and treasure-seeking adventure.
