If you haven't checked out the DEMO.... why? Go check out the DEMO before reading reviews for some weird, often very subjective judgement. Canvas of Kings is a very useful tool for larger, less handcrafted maps to use in TTRPGs or just as , you know, maps for whatever use. You most certainly CAN craft everything by hand, but IMO programs like Dungeondraft work better when it comes to the minutia of detailed (dungeon)map making. The current asking price of 20 quid is good and the developer Hannes is pretty active in his communication considering this is a one-man project, Like I said, check the DEMO, check the community tab screenshots/artworks and ask yourself if you want a very capable town/countryside drafter. 如果我需要一张用于5E的地图,我会选择(加载素材一多就爆炸的)dungeondraft,还能用mod导入fvtt 但如果我开别的规则比如OSR,那canvas of kings这手绘风真是美妙啊

Although I've only taken the time to finish 1 project, this application is by far one of the best map-making tools for any TTRPG. I'm sure it has other applications, but games like D&D and other akin activities will benefit greatly from this tool. From Cities to Hamlets, to Houses & Rooms, to Forest and Lakes, this tool is unfinished as of this review, and you can make it all! It's intuitive, only taking around an hour to learn the majority of how to use it. What I think makes Canvas of Kings stand out is it's ability to randomly generate selections of houses and items on the map, depending on what type of in-app tool you are using. And even if you create multiple items in one area, and you don't like how some of them look, you can detach every individual object and delete or move them! All in all, a great tool, 95% recommended by myself, and although it's semi-finicky to move different items, I think I just need to get better at using the application. Have a great time, Cartographer!
Idk if you see this. But this app? Is amazing, insanely fun and cool. But I have an idea for a feature that could be really cool, idk how hard it would be to implement but my idea is to have like a walking path tool, So for example you select what object you want then you draw a path and that object spawns in and moves along that path then at random distances along that path it disappears or goes along the whole path( maybe have an option) So you could set it to humans and make like a live busy street, and u could set the amount of humans and how width the path is. But you could even do a boat object and set a path in the ocean so you can make the ocean alive as well. Idk how hard that would be to make, but I think it could be really cool
Simple to use mapmaking tool. Excellent for those medium scale maps like towns orsmaller regions, but it does also have room making for small scale things as well. It lacks the really fine-tuning capabilities for those but it can whip up a map really quick for when you need it. I use it to create large farms, villages, towns and cities to use in Foundry later for my TTRPG games. I am looking forward to more assets and features down the line. The only bad thing I can say right now is that really large city maps take ages to load in even on an SSD with decent hardware.
software good
Great map maker, using it regularly. Having the workshop linked to it gives me lot of idea. It's really fun and easy to use. Congrats to the maker !
Ok yes, just add more content, please. It’s a good basic skeleton, but it needs more stuff.
Incredible map making tool for when you need to quickly throw a town together. I'd like to see some more variety in assets as this gets updated, but it's still a great tool in its current state. Two thumbs up!
saben que hace falta que haya lluvia y relámpagos y montañas aunque creo que esto ultimo se puede con la workshop para poder guardarlo con el de video fuera de eso esta increíble
