It's fun and short, and there are no annoying filler segments. Takes about 3 hours to get all achievements.
Good game with obnoxious game design. Six second unskippable death screens in a game where you have to travel 5+ seconds every death isn't fun. The teleport is janky. The black portal final boss is a pure RNG fight. He can cover the entire arena with AoE spam that lasts 15 seconds and forces a death or all of your healing. If you live, he just does it again. You also have hitboxes that don't match the animation. Some QoL would really help this game out. Being put in front of the portal you just failed instead of the campfire would be amazing. A respec NPC would also be nice. Anyway, the game is fun and still worth picking up for the price despite the shortcomings.
Great game with nice graphics and a cool soundtrack. And it works great on the Steam Deck!
I like this game, it's a fun boss rush. There are a few problems though. First off, majorly off, there is no pause. Once you're in a boss fight, you're in a boss fight. And the boss fights are LONG sometimes, especially if you play it safe. I hit esc and opened up the options menu, came back and I was dead Second off, I just beat the first group of portals (bosses), and there's upgrades to your dash, your health, your heal, but no damage upgrades. Which is a shame, because some of these guys are damage sponges. If you don't mind high health bosses with only one low damage attack, than this is for you! But it can be tedious
I have to say that this game is a banger. the tutorial boss is good, the second boss teaches you dodge timing, the third and fourth are meh, and unless there is a boss rivaling Nameless kind i perfection, the fifth is my favorite. Also, i made a subreddit for this game for you! 8/10 Note: the third boss is a pretty sharp difficulty curve, you may want to make his melee hit for a bit less.
A short, but fun addition to the genre of top down bullet hell games. + Great voice acting + Simple, yet effective combat system + Unique enemy design - Very simplistic UI - No convenient "Try again" feature 7/10
This game is basically a 2D bullet-hell Dark Souls, and it is GREAT! The voice acting is wonderful, the controls are nice and tight, and the music is really good as well. The graphics are pretty darn good for a small indie game, and the art direction makes it all fit together. I had a lot of fun dying over and over (and over) again, but learning from each death until I mastered each boss's attack pattern - just like any good souls-like should be. Overall I'd consider this a hidden gem. If you're into bullet-hell games, then this is a no-brainer: BUY IT, and if you're on the fence about it, I'd say give it a shot. You'll know if it's your type of game by the time you defeat the 1st boss.
Pretty cool game so far. Basically a boss battle simulator, with a few puzzles inbetween. Instead of parrying or blocking. You have a teleport that makes you vanish for a second, which gives you a way to avoid enemy attacks, and for longer onslaughts you have a magical shield. You have a heal with 3 charges for each boss. The controls are very intriguing. You can teleport to cancel your shield, or to dodge a wave of projectiles and fire on without the interuption of movement. Love it so far.
Very fun game u can beat in 3 hours. its hard but still fun
