Reviews
This game is really cute and simple. I enjoy the boba shop aspects, and I wish there was more time spent working at the shop than outside of it, but I dont dislike those other more stardew-like aspects. The Shoot-em-up sequences are optional and like the rest of the game, very cute and simple. Fishing is especially fun and I hope there's more variety and things to do with the fish added in the future. Although many reviews are saying they're having trouble with bugs and lag, I believe they've been fixed since I've had no performance issues. I look forward to more content and I hope people give this game a chance since most of the negative reviews don't apply to this version of the game as far as I'm aware. (And the last update as of this review was last month so it isn't abandonware either).
Very laggy, I can't play with lags like that qwq
Maybe I’m just sentimental, but this story had me crying more than once. The gameplay can get repetitive and the battle system feels a little broken and boring — it definitely needs some revision. I also found the characters a bit hard to connect with at first. But despite the flaws, the developer really nailed that emotional gut-punch: the grief of losing someone you love, the regret, and wishing you had more time. I genuinely hope this game gets updates and improvements, because it’s got a lot of potential.
鼓励性好评 感觉引导还是不够,比如说我没懂存档的逻辑,,, 然后就是希望移动可以加速?看得有点急
I was doing an indie gift exchange with some friends and received call of boba. I love call of boba. It reminds me of moonlighter and cult of the lamb with it's roguelike dream levels. The fact that the different toppings act as bullets and have different effects is great. My favorite combo rn is using the coconut jelly and maxing out damage and bullet size. I found myself wanting more of the dream levels. It took me a bit to get into the game with all the tutorials but I really like it. I am obsessed with the fishing mini game I found myself wanting more songs to quick tap to. The story is simple and cute and making the boba drinks can take a bit to get profitable but it's fun overall and I can't wait to see what else is in store for bobo and friends. Really like the early access so far would recommend a play if you want a cute cozy game with some rougelike elements.
I bought Call of Boba a while ago but didn’t get the chance to dive into it until recently (thanks to UNSW’s relentless trimester system). Now that exams are finally over, I’ve been relaxing with this game—and honestly, it’s been a lovely surprise. The visuals are cozy and charming—petals float through the air as you walk into town, which sets a relaxing tone right away. Characters are adorable, and the milk tea mixing animations are genuinely satisfying to watch. That said, the tutorial could be a little clearer when it comes to attracting customers after making the tea—it took me a minute to figure out what I was supposed to do. But once I got into the rhythm, everything started to feel quite smooth. I didn’t expect to get this absorbed, but it’s been a really pleasant way to wind down after a busy term.
It is a fun cute game. Artstyle is very cozy and wholesome. There is definitely an overwhelming amount of info given at the beginning. Especially once you unlock the grandfathers study there is so much I just didn't understand about it I just never used it. Other than that the gameplay is fun, story is cute, art is perfect. This game has a ton of potential and I can see the improvements already as it is updated. If you love cozy wholesome cute games, give this a try.
I absolutely love the concept of the game, it's been in my wish list for a while, so when it hit early access I was straight on it. Yes there were a few bugs at launch, but I feel as if the previous reviews were too harsh. I like the story so far, I like the boba making mini game to learn a recipe, and the townsfolk are all very likable. I'm very interested in seeing how this game evolves as it develops. The only thing I've not been a fan of is the mini game when you're dreaming as I feel it disrupts the coziness, but there's an option to turn it off which I'm grateful for. Overall a very cute and cozy experience and I'd recommend it to anyone interested in the genre.
I like the music and artistic style
