About

Meike is the daughter of the noble von Essen family. Once one of the wealthiest families in Germany, the von Essen name has since been tarnished after a string of bad business decisions led them to financial ruin.
Desperate to be restored to their former wealth and glory, Meike’s parents try to marry their only daughter off to the self-made businessman Walter Gerhardt. Meike possesses no fond feelings towards Walter – she hardly knows the man – but her mother is determined to make the match work, and Meike can see no way out of her impending engagement.
Meike’s future as a wife to the cold, careless Walter seems set in stone – until the carriage bearing her and her family through the forest, to Walter’s home in Augsburg, is set upon by bandits.
Meike’s parents are killed, though Meike is able to escape alongside her faithful maid, Henrieke. The pair dash through the woods, searching for sanctuary – and in so doing they find an eerie, tumbledown castle hidden among the trees.
This castle, as Meike soon discovers, belongs to a young woman called Magdalena. Short of stature, with flowing fair hair, Magdalena looks like a sweet, innocent thing, but there’s more to her than meets the eye.
Magdalena is, in fact, a vampire – and now she has Meike in her clutches, it seems unlikely that Meike will ever be able to escape.

Very disappointing ending. Avoid if you like vampire stories. Edit to explain what I meant: the vampire girl never ends up drinking the blood of her romance interest. In the ending, she even vows to never drink blood again in general. I despise this trope and it made me legitimately angry when I reached the ending.
So... let me start by saying I'm a bit disappointed, especially with the ending. The whole story is enjoyable, written in beautiful language. The story had its charm because it was slow, and even though the game didn't offer choices, it was a good read. But the fourth act is fast-paced, with a lot of action. The characters' reactions are unnatural, and I'd venture to say artificially emotional, as if written by ai.
The main character is literally bleeding out on the floor, and they're joking and chatting? Henny is crying hysterically, Magdalena supposedly cares for Meike, but has time to talk? The priest is just sitting in the corner, observing? Come on...
The graphics are very nice, and the character development is quite good. However, the last half hour is a disaster, and it was difficult to end at all, with a heavy emphasis on skipping dialogue that was boring and unnecessary. In summary, the ending could have been different, more heartwarming, and the drama could have been more fluid and natural. A few more visuals and scenes where we see the characters' feelings actually developing would be helpful. Magdalena's "Mistress" storyline is terribly cut short. Despite this, I enjoyed the story, so I recommend picking it up on a good sale.
I will always mourn the 10 euros I spent on this game. I should have bought Carmilla instead.
I tried too hard to like this story but it's way too dull and anything is barelly happening, too much time has given to the side characters and... I'm bored. The art is beautifull but story is 5/10. Could be better if it was shorter..
Fantastic art and music, terrible writing. The concept is fine, but the execution is abysmal. I strongly suspect it was written using AI, as every scene repeats details, descriptions, and memories as if it was the first time they were ever mentioned. Pretty sure that's what would happen if each scene was "written" by AI, as individual prompts with no context of the writing that comes before or after. The result is a highly repetitive slog that assumes the reader has zero memory, reading comprehension, or deductive capabilities. The store page proudly mentions the story being 95k words long. A decent writer would cut it down to a third of that, and the pacing would still be slow.
This brought me joy and made me feel seen in ways I did not realize I was lacking. Vampirism is a fabulous allegory for queer and transgender representation; being at odds with one's body and desires. Though there is explicit queer representation, the vampirism adds more nuance and intrigue in the exploration of queer themes. There are also strong themes of abuse, abuse recovery, and redemption, and the narrative device of vampirism adds depth to these as well. I really enjoyed the visceral nature of the writing, describing the characters' thoughts and sensations. I adore the artwork and the music is wonderful.
Beautiful. I surprised myself reading everything so smoothly and quickly, I loved the music, the art and the story so much. I almost wish I could have this as a book to bring it around with me all the time a read it again and again. Im a sucker for lesbian vampire and this just filled every expectation I had. I think anyone interested in a dark vampire sapphic love story should buy it and let themself be taken away by the story <3 100% worth it !
overdosing on laced yuritonin at 5am and I have zero regrets
as an aromantic lesbian, i'm ironically a big fan of well-written romance stories, because it's fun to get a glimpse of feelings i can't really comprehend. it's not very often i feel like i'm actually missing out on much - heartbreak, from the outside, doesn't seem worth it - but having already grown to feel much kinship with Magdalena, the climax had me openly weeping with envy over her love for Meike. 10/10 made me yearn, will buy all the shrimp princess yuri forever thank you
Incredibly well written and heartfelt story. The art style was lovely and the sound effects and music worked to be quite immersive for the story. Easily has me hooked and wanted to read more of the developers work. The ending was admittedly not entirely what I'd have expected in a vampire story, but thats personal preference, it was still a great ending and one I really enjoyed.
