Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

I have to disable my capture card just to play this game, which is idiotic. This camera bug shouldn't even be an issue! Who is taking a picture of themselves to play Burnout Paradise?! NO ONE!!! Disable the feature and be done with it! Edit: I changed my review to thumbs up because this game still brings me joy. Edit2: It won't start on my Windows Surface Pro no matter what I try. Smh, my gosh Edit3: It was my NDI Webcam, but now I have to figure why it hangs at the main menu loading screen. Lmao bruh Edit4: Nvm, back to square one. Edit5: I added the game to the graphics settings and had to force it to my GPU instead of letting Windows decide! *cries* I can play it in TWO locations!!!

Mercifully, it belonged to that rather exclusive society of games enlightened enough to recognise that 60fps is not some optional luxury, but a fundamental human right. Its motorcars, most delightfully, possess an admirable sense of heft. They cling to the tarmac with the unwavering determination of a tax collector pursuing an overdue payment, seemingly endowed with enough downforce to keep gozila firmly anchored to the Earth. The result is steering of remarkable precision, allowing one to place the vehicle exactly where intended without the customary negotiations. Far too many racing games, by comparison, insist upon equipping their automobiles with steering that feels as though the entire suspension has been replaced with overcooked custard. One gives the wheel a polite suggestion, only for the car to respond several business days later whilst gently bobbing about like a particularly confused inflatable bath toy. Absolute poo. Now then, let us address the mountainous heap of spectacular rubbish, for this esteemed production has seen fit to provide it in generous abundance. The music is, without exaggeration, an unmitigated catastrophe. The menu theme alone is sufficient to awaken dormant wartime memories every single time it dares emerge from the speakers. One is assaulted by a procession of utterly forgettable, aggressively mediocre tracks that I would sooner replace with the soothing ambience of a malfunctioning tumble dryer. It is genuinely astonishing that this soundtrack was curated by the very same individuals responsible for the musical brilliance of Burnout 3: Takedown and Burnout Revenge. The menus, meanwhile, are an offence against both software engineering and basic human decency. They lumber about with all the urgency of a sedated sloth dragging a grand piano uphill, taking an unconscionable amount of time to accomplish the simplest of tasks. Every interaction feels needlessly convoluted, every transition painfully sluggish, and the entire interface radiates the unmistakable aura of something designed specifically to test one's patience. There exists no patch, no prayer, nor divine intervention capable of redeeming this absolute monstrosity. The decision to saddle the game with a static map deserves its own special exhibit in the Museum of Questionable Design Choices. Thankfully, the ever resourceful citizens of the glorious PC Master Race produced a delightfully tiny modification that remedies the issue in mere moments. As is tradition, a handful of enthusiastic modders managed to outperform the official remaster team with what was presumably an afternoon's worth of effort. One cannot help but wonder precisely what these distinguished nincompoops were remastering. Where are the quality of life improvements? Where is the polish? Where is literally any evidence that somebody was awake during development? Absolute buttmonkeys. Yet, in spite of this magnificent catalogue of baffling decisions, I remain rather fond of the game. Once the community has graciously excised the majority of the developer inflicted nonsense through the miracle of modding, what remains is an exceptionally enjoyable Burnout title. More importantly, the driving model is still magnificent. The cars possess an intoxicating sense of weight, grip, and precision that embarrasses an alarming number of racing games released over the past two decades. Many modern racers seem content to have their vehicles drift about like startled shopping trolleys on an ice rink. This one, mercifully, remembers that automobiles are generally expected to obey the steering wheel. Acquire it only during a respectable sale. This is scarcely a remaster in any meaningful sense of the word, it is better described as the complete edition with the former console exclusive content bundled together. Beyond that, precious little has changed. In fact, one particular aspect has somehow deteriorated. The audio quality and mixing are positively dreadful. I cannot adequately express the psychic damage incurred by uttering the following sentence. The original console versions sounded better. Good heavens.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 23: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game shaped my childhood ever since I've been playing on the ps3 as a little boy. Everyday after school I would boot this game up and play for hours and hours on end. This open sandbox combines racing and crashing into one, which was very unique compared to other racing games. This is a very underrated game and highly reccommend anyone thats getting into racing games to give this one a try. Yeah the graphics aint the best since its litterally from 2008, but its well worth enough to play even today. I recommend doing the 500 online freeburn challenges as in my opinion its the most fun thing on this game. A new successor to this game is coming (wreckcreation 2), so im excited to get my hands on that game when it comes out. And as per the reviews claiming this game is crashing im sorry to hear that as i personally haven't experienced it, but I have both the EA app and steam installed. But anyways this game still carries a big part in my life, so i hope whoever is reading this can enjoy this game similarly to how i did
Leaving a review mainly for steam deck compatibility. I just bought the remastered version on sale today and was able to get it running on steam deck without any extra steps. Just download and go. Game runs great on the deck. Please note that my steam account was already linked to my ea account prior to launching the game. I already had the ultimate box edition. I got the remastered version for surf island which I'm happy to try out for the first time. I couldn't really see that much of a graphical difference between the versions though. This is still one of the best racing games I've ever played. It's a little lacking in terms of QoL compared to modern racing games, but it more than makes up for it with the truly unique gameplay. The soundtrack is just perfect too.
such a great game remastered so poorly it doesnt launch on half of the modern pcs that have the game, it got so bad the community made bug fixes but in my case its straight up unfixible.
Unable to play on Deck, no way to use controller - can't "Press any button" in the beginning, and keyboard mapping not solving all the keyboard keys just to switch tabs in menu, so I can't close the game from main menu.
Dont let the mixed reviews fool you, this game does work and it hasnt crashed on me once. It may not start properly at first but you just have to launch it from EAs launcher first and then its fine. Game is smooth like butter and its still a bunch of fun after all these years/
No he podido hacer andar este juego... me muestra un simpático cartel de error tecnico .... que intente mas tarde y no llego a nada... Me siento estafado!
