It's a cool game, but the developers and publisher didn't take care of it, the game constantly crashes, for some people it simply doesn't launch, to fix this you will need to look for guides on the Internet, then you can play it without crashes: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2260785713, a link to the guide that helped me
Amazing game, absolutely ruined by the EA App. If I could actually launch and play it consistently, this would be an easy recommendation. Instead, I’m stuck troubleshooting a launcher more than playing the game. Unplayable on both PC and Steam Deck. Negative review until this gets fixed. -------------------------------- EDIT ------------------------------------- VALVE… you’re like Superman, defeating the Joker with Proton. You have no idea how much it meant to me to launch the game, then relaunch it the next day with no issues. It finally feels like I can actually play consistently. Seriously, Valve you’re awesome. This is exactly why I switched completely to Steam this year (sold my PlayStations and Nintendo) and bought a Steam Deck and plan on a Steam Machine. If something breaks, I know you at least tried and honestly, that’s what matters most. I used to play this game on my old PS3, and now I get to play it on both my PC and my Steam Deck… so thank you. As for EA, your launcher still needs serious work. Please fix it, and think about a sequel to this one again eh?

🏎️На колесах і в РАЮ🌴 Це ремастер культової гонки "Burnout Paradise" 2008-го року від студії "Criterion Games", виданий "Electronic Arts" (Ті самі хлопці, що під час ковіду, працювали з дому і грабували "мікротранзакціями" рідних, бо по іншому вони не вміють😁) Сам ремастер вийшов у 2018 і зібрав багато хейту навколо себе, бо не працював стабільно. Але у моєму випадку все було гуд: усі режими робочі, виліт був лише один раз, і то через те, що я згорнув гру... Не суть🤷♂️ Ще зізнаюсь, що востаннє я грав у піратську версію, в якій не було DLC і онлайну (Онлайн зараз не те щоб дуже живий, але поганяти на прикольних машинках можна, і це кульно🫶). Ніби підтягнули графоній, чого я не зміг оцінити бо гамав в оригінал дуже давно, а лізти в інет для порівняння немає сенсу, бо в цілому картинка гуд👌 Сюжету тут нема, тож по суті ви просто водій у Paradise City (Шкода, що за кермом не Dude з гри "Postal") , де можна ганяти, трощити брички, виконувати до одурі челенджі та слухати радіо-діджея, який щось там періодично ля-лякає🎙 Але це не головне, бо весь сік у адреналіні і кайфі, який можна отримати від геймплею без пафосних речень про порятунок світу, зупинку біологічної зброї, або віддавання боргів, щоб не вбили сеструху... Чи побудувати закриту кімнату, закинути туди всіх жителів і дивитись, що з ними буде далі..😅 Грі вже дофіга років, але у неї все ще приємно залітати, і ось чому: ✅Я - швидкість, швидше за МакВіна🔥Моментами складається враження що ти летиш під 300 км/год, і це Ах€р€нно. Автівок, мотиків і особливих екземплярів хоч д%пою жуй, хоча деякі вам спочатку треба знайти і знищити. Бо ваш гараж це автозвалище🫠 ✅Аварії тут окремий вид мистецтва. Їх передають вам з екрану у slow-mo повторі (В дитинстві коли бавився "Hot Wheelsами", уявляв щось подібне, тож гра цілком задовільнила в мені малу дитину, яка бажала хаосу і ДТП). ✅Відкритий світ я люблю: він великий, є свої цікаві місця, секрети, трампліни (Особливо на острові з DLC) і купа NPC, з якими можна зіштовхнутись, тож місто відчувається живим. І один з чіткіших навігаторів у гонках, за це респект. ✅Не скажу, що мені цікаво слухати радіо-ведучого, як у фільмі "Reservoir Dogs" Квентіна Тарантіно, але в плані музики ностальгія вливається у вуха з рок та поп хітами 80-х та 00-х типу "Avril Lavigne", "Guns N’ Roses"🤘. ✅Є чіткі великодки на тему "Назад у майбутнє", "Мисливці за привидами" та, ймовірно, "Придурки з Хаззерду"... Коротше прикольні брички👍 ❌Забудьте про нормальну міні-мапу з GPS та фішками Fast travel. Навігація добре працює під час гонок і все🙃 ❌Для тих хто любить сюжет у гонках можуть відчути дискомфорт... З мотивації тут: виконувати івенти заради машинок і прав із вашою фоткою (Яку після кожної гонки будуть пропонувати зробити знову). Та і ті ж дороги і ті ж активності, можуть швидко набриднути. ❌Бісить, що моя камера постійно ввімкнена під час гри. А що, як я захочу "по переключати передачі" між першою, та другою гоночкою?🤨 А у мене боязнь публіки... А ще виходить, що це шоу для них буде безкоштовним, а я за гру заплатив. НІ, мені не соромно, а вам,"EA"?🤡 ❌Іноді можуть бути вильоти. У мене це було один раз за сесію в годину - півтори, а от у друга це траплялось частіше. Хз, від чого це залежить⚠️ ❌Брати рекомендую зі знижкою 90%, а то ціна стандартна трохи височенька. За ті гроші можна взяти щось цікавіше і новіше🙂 Без сумнівів, якщо ви хочете просто розслабитись, не думати про фізику, просто натиснути газ, набрати швидкість і зносити все на своєму шляху та розфігачитись у якийсь момент - вам точно сюди Рекомендую робити це на Делоріані (Точніше, його аналог)🤙 THE END✌️

this game reminds me of my childhood i really wanted to play it but the apes down at EA hq decided otherwise with their state of the art app its literally unplayable, crashes each time i launch it and no mod saved it i would rather die than give another dime to the (c o c k s u c k e r s) at EA dont buy this ♥♥♥♥ just pirate it
First, the game didnt start at all, then after closing msi afterburner and riva tuner the game kind of launched, but then crashed while trying to load. After installing the "core bugfixes" mod the game launched and loaded, but kept crashing when trying to open the main menu. Its getting on my nerves and i do not want to waste any more time with this stupid game.

The game looks and functions pretty much identically as the non-remastered version. The only changes I can see is: 1. Forced to install bloat (EA app) to play (Sets itself to start with Windows btw) 2. You have to re-purchase the game to play online again 3. There are steam achievements now 4. Online is half-broken 5. The game seems to randomly crash Thanks EA!
