(UPDATE - June17, 2018) The controller works great now, the buttons and sticks are remapped in a way that works. The enemies are now a lot slower which helps but if you allow them to they will still move inside your character. It's an okay fix for the previous problem but it really sort of just hides it rather than fix it. It's better than before although it could use further improvement. The game is still a bit clunky and there is still some trial and error type of areas that quickly become frustrating due to there being no checkpoints. The platforming can be hard to judge when jumping and very punishing as missing a jump can often be an instant death. Great job on the update, I love how a bit of information on what you are supposed to do was added, that's great. The game is slightly better overall now but it still isn't where I'd need it to be to give it a positive recommend. It definitely feels better though, that's for sure. (End Of Update) I bought this because I liked the art style and the fact that it had something to do with burgers. Unfortunately, it isn't quite up par in many ways. I wish the controls were better but they are pretty bad. There were a lot of mistakes made with this game, I think these developers are fairly new but it seems like they tried. The story is pretty cool, at least what's written here on the Steam description. There is a bit of a cutscene before the game starts to give a tiny bit of the story but i wish it had the whole story, also that it was skipable because it doesn't seem to be. The controls are probably the worst feature of this game. On the xbox 360 type controller for PC, the right analog stick is move and X is attack with A for jumping. This means you have to use both hands on the right side of the controller in a very awkward way. The keyboard is much better but still not very good with E being attack but when using wasd, pressing E is awkward. Unfortunately there is also no possible way to remap your keys or buttons so you are forced to play with these brutal controls. The hit detection is pretty weak. Your hits register most of the time but enemies will move inside of you causing constant damage over time and it feels very wrong. Because of this the game is extremely hard in a way that it shouldn't be. There is no tutorial or instructions on how to play at all. You can pick up bullets bu there is no mention of a gun and none of the buttons on the keyboard or controller fire these bullets. I have no idea what they are for. I like the art style and the story. I hope the devs can update this to make it better. I wasn't able to make it past the first level or even get to the boss. The controls really are that terrible and I can't recommend this in it's current state unfortunately.

An underrated gem that has yet to be discovered. Horror Comedy games are very rare and this one delievers. You play as Burgerwise, the sociopathic hybrid of Pennywise and Ronald McDonald, as he comes home from a long day at his job of killing puppies to provide furnace fuel for his apartment building only to find that undead rabbits have killed most of his roommates and stolen his precious supply of Yum-tastic Burgerwise Burgers. Not only most you get your hamburgers back, but this is the perfect time to take advantage of the confusion to kill the tennants in your apartment and take items you'll need to progress. Jumpy Shoes for a double jump Dash Gas to run fast Oxygen Tank to breathe in poisonous environments and a Revolver to use the many bullets you collect over the course of the game for murderish shennanigans. This is a short, but sweet Metroidvania title where you play as a sadistic clown collecting power-ups. Sadly there's only one song in the soundtrack, but it's a fitting one that sounds good. This main theme I speak of is a loop of some clown music that grows more distorted over time as you listen to it, which perfectly compliments our loveable protagonist who acts all jolly even while performing horrible atrocities against friend and foe alike. Burgerwise is a very enjoyable protagonist full of character and charm, one small thing I did enjoy about playing as him is the fact that he laughs sadistically whenever he kills an enemy or how he revels in delight anytime he eats one of his moldy hamburgers. When I first bought the game there was an issue getting it to load due to a missing executable, but when I posted about it I got a response from the developer within a day who patched the problem the moment he became aware of it. I thought I'd mention that because I appreciate developers who try to keep ontop of what's going on with their projects Burgerwise is a short, but worthwile experience and makes a great budget gift for friends. The graphics aren't anything to write home about, but they get the job done, and given that the dev team consists of one man I can give it a pass. I haven't beaten the game yet, but I am at the half-way mark and it is a wonderful experience so far. At 99 cents, this is an adventure you can't afford to miss. PS: If anyone can tell me how to get past the Taffy Room that would be great.

I really enjoy the art style and if the game was a little more polished it would be great. The goofy, yet creepy art style really matches and the song that plays on loop is really nice for setting a creepy atmosphere. I'd like it a bit more if it looped a little smoother though. So far, I have just unlocked the gun, but have no idea how to get out of the water area in order to kill the final boss. I can only double jump and there are no platforms to land on that I can find, so as of right now I am stuck in a pit and cannot finish the game. I'm also confused as to how the extra hearts work. After destroying the first dead clown, I got an extra life. When I destroyed a second clown, it didn't give me anything. Upon dying, it takes away the extra life that I earned, so I have to go all the way back and destroy the dead clowns again. Also, bullets are used based on how many times the key is pressed, but it doesn't fire the same amount of bullets if you try to fire them too fast, so it is very easy to end up wasting bullets this way.

This is a joke game where you control a monster horror clown with a big mallet and you need to club garish and freaky enemies through deliberately badly made 2D retro pixel platformer levels. There's no gameplay or artistic merit here. Fixed, nonsensical controls and terrible art. I can say however that this game exceeds literally hundreds of other retro 2D pixel games because you can change the resolution, so it's almost like they tried making a proper video game.
