Puts the "real" in realistic, while still being a fun and manageable game. And it does so for everything, combat, events, personal dynamics, the real history of the war. I'm a WW2 historian by trade, and no game I have ever seen, and I've seen plenty, has come this close to depicting the real thing.
This is something special. If you like hex strategic wargames and youre tired of the same formula ad nauseum, this has very original twist and it really feels like hex rpg, so be prepared to read a lot of text, which is as important as well known hex element. Your award will be a military adventure with strong emphasis on human relations. im glad that the developers are so bold and willing to take the risk swimming in this small niche pond of original strategy games.

Burden of Command Is probably one of the best turn based strategy/wargame combos I have ever played. It is very rough around the edges in places but has excellent gameplay and narrative that more than makes up for it.
WTF The worst UI ever. Do yourself a favor and dont get this even on sale.
The game's creators were incredibly patient, and I am deeply grateful to them; it was their tireless, hands-on guidance over the course of three hours that enabled me to successfully experience this perfect game.
By all means a historians game
Failed in bootcamp, went home in disgrace. Parents kicked me out and I became the town drunk. Look if you're incredibly patient it might be fun, but I never got there. Four tutorial missions in bootcamp with constant pauses, talking, and esoteric rules was quite enough. Wish there was a neutral option.
A nice game. The tactical aspect is very easy for anyone used to wargames, but I liked how the game humanizes your units. If anything, I wish there would be more personalization at grunt level
