Got this in a bundle, gameplay feels okayish, but framerate is atrocious, feels like 30 fps even when selecting 60. I don't care about fan service, so If I'm not enjoying gameplay, I won't play
I started this game expecting nothing but low quality anime garbage. Instead I was actually surprised its rather competent. Its D3, so a budget game. Plays a bit like a very cheap EDF, but instead of ants, aliens and finding new guns, its an isekai with orcs and you buy tube shaped foods to make the girls suck on them. Shooting is rather good, movement works nicely. Of course, the main point of the game is ra-, uh I mean, "Intensive Drilling" the girls. You just poke, grope, slap and shove stuff into them. And you get money for doing so. If you are a person of class, you can download a nude mod. In case "smoke", "dark matter" or "light beams" blocking the tits annoys you. Let them dangle free! The main problem with removing the censoring is that while they do have textured tits under the censoring, the crotch is Barbie anatomy, so you need a retexture mod to fix that. There are mods that change the models for more details, but they conflict with existing clothes and the mod scene is very small. To be serious, there is a whole mechanic about removing clothes. You take clothing damage and eventually lose the clothes and underwear and the protection they offer. You can use screen clearing special attacks, but stripping first makes them stronger. Yes, fighting orcs with your tits showing makes you summon a stronger tank and makes that totally older than 18 girl still in middle school with access to heavy weaponery summon more floating rifles like she is Xaku from Warframe. I'd say the only problem I have with this game is that the loading times are quite long, even on a SSD. It really doesn't improves past the first mission. Adds some new enemies past the mid point, but its always the same 3 maps and similar guns. Getting powerups is a nightmare. Not only you have to find the crystals from a massive pool of items, each bra and panties in the game also can have the same bonuses from the same pool. Which means getting 100% items is basically getting 200+ different powerups, times 100. I was missing about half of the extra missions, but I didn't want to replay the game on harder difficulties just to see if those unlock. Entertaining, but you are better getting Earth Defense Force.
i love this game, mai doiuchi please use me (the intensive drilling mode is where you touch, slap, point at the girls and make them aroused) (THERE IS A REVERSE DRILLING MODE WHERE U CAN BE THE SUB ABSOLUTELY AMAZING GAME TO HAVE) 10/10
The controls are awful. They should have just made this a visual novel instead. They clearly don't understand how shooters work. The controls are awful, the frame rate is awful, and the loading… GOD, the loading. The menu UI is actually the worst UI I have ever used. It’s trying to be an arcade shooter with keyboard and mouse and it’s literally AWFUL. The controls are incredibly floaty, the camera is awful, and the auto-aim is incredibly annoying. Why even have gameplay if this is what it’s gonna be like? I got this game in a bundle and I still feel ripped off. This feels like it was designed to be played in an arcade, not a home computer, with how bad and confusing navigating the UI is. Having cute anime girls in a game does not save you from awful game design.
For what it is it's quite good. I mean it is a janky LIGHT gooner game from Japan, made for PS4/PSVita back in 2018 and sold on Steam for 60 euro (deluxe edition) in 2026. Don't fkn buy it for the asking price on Steam, buy the key somewhere else. 10 Euros is the max you should pay for this game with all dlcs, MAX!. Credit where credit is due, voice acting, character design and animations are top-notch, absolutely too good for this type of game. It's clear that the whole budget went to those places because the map design and weapon balance is trash, it is ♥♥♥♥. Your mage too weak? Give'em shotgun. Your melee too weak? Give'em shotgun. Every weapon is trash compared to a shotgun. Map design does not exist, it's the same few bland empty maps in rotation. For 60€ absolutely not, for 10€ with 26 dlcs included? yes! They where this close! Remember 10€ max for the deluxe edition! Edit: Forgot to mention one important thing. It is vital to choose Merrina as your "selected character" so you can subject yourself to the constant stream of ~nya and loose braincells in the process. Ye, I recommendnya.
At first i really liked the game. the characters looked great. seemed to have plenty of content. for the first few days i played. it was such a fun experience, the gun play was engaging, the maps were a bit bland honestly, the outfits (looked like there was alot). it was one of those games from the bygone era. where we had senran kagura, and neptunia action u. these games with clothing damage. such a good time. my problem and what ultimately made me put this down. was the enemy balancing. i've tried all three difficulties, normal, hard, (im just gonna say expert here for the final one). alot of the enemies in this game are fine. its when they can infinitely stun lock you, force your camera in a severe angle that you can't even see, dodging or evading becomes pointless cause of animation locks. then the fact that even on normal. these enemies hit like a truck. i got all the way to chapter 9. before i said "no more". this game is terrible. who in there right mind at D3 publishing and shade made balancing adjustments ?. not matter how good you are. once your cornered. give the sword wielding skeletons as a example. there attack has a massive hitbox. i swear its 10 frames wide. and that just screws you up. imagine this when there are 20 of them on screen at once!!!. the dragons, no ♥♥♥♥ off, they can "one shot!" you even if it looks like you evaded them on the mini map. But oh no my hitbox. these idiots must have a 50 frame wide hitbox. you cant avoid them. it's like someone programmed them to instant kill you. if didn't dodge in time. i haven't even talked about the poor frame pacing. the game runs at 60 frames. but it doesn't stay there for long. i swear i had 45 to around 30 fps on some maps. this gets worse. with more mobs on screen. while the game is very charming and has a outstanding cast of characters. I cannot in good faith. recommend this game. even when i got it during the winter sale. the balancing is jus too harsh. the game punishes you for playing smart. thanks to the dragons. that's the final straw. Shade as a developer sucks. they ruined kanagawa jet girls official game. no destructive suits. when getting hit by the water guns. here i thought this older title from them would of have been better. no it's just trying to lure you in. the girls may be sexy. but the game is way too punishing even for a causal like me. i'm lucky my controller is still in one piece after what i went through.
Aggressive autoaim feature that cannot be disabled.
Bullet Girls Phantasia is a third-person action shooter developed by SHADE Inc. and published by D3PUBLISHER. As an entry in the long-running Bullet Girls series, it carries forward the franchise’s distinctive blend of arcade-style gunplay, anime aesthetics, and overt fan-service while introducing a fantasy twist to its military-themed roots. Rather than grounding its action in modern battlefields, this installment transports its all-female cast into a magical realm filled with monsters, castles, and mythical creatures, creating an unusual fusion of firearms and fantasy combat. At its mechanical core, Bullet Girls Phantasia is structured around mission-based third-person combat. Players select from a roster of heroines, each equipped with customizable loadouts that combine conventional weapons such as rifles and rocket launchers with swords and magical abilities. Missions typically revolve around clearing waves of enemies, defending key points, or escorting allies through compact arenas. Combat is fast and accessible, emphasizing crowd control and flashy attacks rather than tactical realism. Enemy encounters are frequent and chaotic, encouraging players to constantly switch between ranged and melee options to manage swarms of fantasy adversaries like slimes, orcs, and dragons. The progression system incorporates light RPG elements. Completing missions yields currency and materials used to upgrade weapons, unlock new gear, and enhance character abilities. While these upgrades provide incremental improvements in firepower and survivability, the overall depth of customization remains streamlined rather than complex. The gameplay loop focuses more on repetition and accumulation than on intricate build crafting. As players progress, difficulty escalates, requiring sharper movement and more efficient weapon usage, though the core structure remains consistent throughout the campaign. One of the defining features of the series, and particularly this installment, is its clothing damage mechanic. As characters take hits in battle, their outfits visibly degrade, reflecting both combat damage and the franchise’s emphasis on fan-service. Beyond standard missions, additional modes such as Intensive Drilling and Reverse Drilling allow players to interact with characters in exaggerated, stylized scenarios outside combat. These features are central to the game’s identity, catering to its target audience with character-focused content and gallery options that highlight its anime-inspired designs. For fans of the genre, this emphasis on aesthetic presentation is a significant draw; for others, it may overshadow the mechanical aspects of gameplay. Visually, Bullet Girls Phantasia embraces bright, colorful environments that contrast sharply with its earlier military settings. Fantasy landscapes range from castle courtyards to underground dungeons, though mission layouts can feel repetitive over time. Character models are expressive and detailed within the stylized anime framework, while combat effects are exaggerated and vibrant. Performance is generally smooth, with responsive controls that suit its arcade pacing. The soundtrack complements the action with energetic tracks, though it does not stand out as a defining feature. Narratively, the story functions primarily as a framework to justify the fantastical setting. Dialogue exchanges between missions add personality to the cast, leaning heavily into lighthearted humor and exaggerated character tropes. While the plot introduces magical conflicts and dimensional shifts, it rarely develops into a deeply engaging narrative. Instead, it serves as connective tissue between action segments, maintaining tone rather than delivering dramatic weight. Reception has been largely positive among fans of anime-style action games, particularly those familiar with the Bullet Girls franchise. Players often praise its unapologetic identity and straightforward, energetic combat. However, criticism centers on repetitive mission design, limited environmental variety, and relatively shallow mechanics compared to more sophisticated third-person shooters. The experience is intentionally niche, designed to satisfy a specific audience rather than appeal broadly. Ultimately, Bullet Girls Phantasia succeeds by committing fully to its hybrid identity. It merges arcade shooting, light RPG progression, and overt fan-service into a cohesive package that knows its audience well. While it may not deliver mechanical depth or narrative complexity on par with larger action titles, it offers a lively and content-rich experience for players who appreciate anime aesthetics, accessible gunplay, and stylized fantasy combat presented without restraint. Rating: 8/10
