Nice shoot'em up by proceeding short stages. Fascinating anime characters to control, beat massive bosses. Various fun gimmicks are there in the game. Great price. Mini-video >> https://twitter.com/hhfcurator/status/1659911038169677824
Nice Game! a lot of enemies with different mechanics and cute design plus a very unique way to play in coop
It's an interesting bullet hell game that I find to be in the spirit of Galaga, Espgaluda and, uh, Touhou. First of all, i̶t̶'̶s̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶ ̶p̶o̶s̶s̶i̶b̶l̶e̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶r̶e̶m̶a̶p̶ ̶c̶o̶n̶t̶r̶o̶l̶s̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶k̶e̶y̶b̶o̶a̶r̶d̶.̶ ̶W̶h̶i̶l̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶d̶e̶f̶a̶u̶l̶t̶ ̶c̶o̶n̶t̶r̶o̶l̶s̶ ̶a̶r̶e̶ ̶m̶a̶p̶p̶e̶d̶ ̶s̶i̶m̶i̶l̶a̶r̶l̶y̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶h̶o̶w̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶ ̶p̶l̶a̶y̶ ̶a̶ ̶s̶h̶o̶o̶t̶ ̶'̶e̶m̶ ̶u̶p̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶a̶ ̶P̶C̶,̶ ̶I̶ ̶p̶r̶e̶f̶e̶r̶ ̶s̶h̶o̶o̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶w̶i̶i̶t̶h̶ ̶X̶,̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶ ̶Z̶. it's possible to remap controls! But I'd like a separate button for dash anyways. Mobile gamers will find the level order structure to be familiar, but it's unique for a PC release. Unlike arcade releases, you can play levels in a given area or, looking at roadmap, sub-area, in a free order, but you need to beat all of them (no, Ferox doesn't count, I've tested) to access the next stage. In most sub-areas there's a shop where you can find options (I didn't find to be a lot useful), shield (the most useful item) and dash (very specific upgrade). You can equip one type of an option and defensive item (shield or dash) at the same time. No, I didn't test characters other than Ella. As is, she's pretty good. Good speed and good shot. Normal and concentrated shot are the same. Normal spell is the most useful against homing enemies and concentrated spell is the most useful against static popcorn, so there's tactics. As for the levels themselves, I found no problem with them. They're goal-based similarly to Bullet Hell Monday except there are two static goals: hit avoidance and time limit, which is strict enough to require a lot of routing. Reaching hit avoidance shouldn't be much of a problem if you play safely, but beware of two particular enemies that spawn a ton of enemies: golden gear birds (?) and homing bats. They spawn a ton of bullets. Best to speedkill them. Also there's that one elite black mage that spawns a ton of bullets as well except he can't be killed quickly. Yuck! Do you best to dodge! Normal black mages are much more easy, though, and I'd like them to be buffed a bit. I think that their bullets are a bit too slow. (While enemies are a bit tanky compared to the rest of shmups, it's fine because of fairly static enemies, so you can take your time to shoot them) I forgot later bosses, but the last Early Access boss has the unique gimmick of turning bullets into lighting upon passing the blue circle. That's really cool! The bosses that I remember are Arcanum and Stigma, specifically their Ferox variants. They're especially violent compared to the rest of the game and feature much more dense patterns compared to their normal versions. You absolutely want to route them and see what interacts with what in Stigma's case. Normal versions can be beaten blindly if you're really skilled, though. And now my most favourite part - bullet hell. It'll be tame in the first area - forest, but it'll get intense when you get to the castle, especially when black mages will begin to appear. There's one particular level in the sky area where a lot of golden gear birds spawn. If you keep all of them alive. so many bullets will spawn that they'll fill the screen! Yippee!!!!!!!!! By the way, really good music outta here. Gotta love these Sunsoft basses. 9.5 bullet hells out of 10. P.S.: I forgot about "Input Remap"
A fun shmup. I've only player single player so far. I like the pickup-and-play formula of having short challenge stages: it's a lot more accessible than the arcade mode we usually have in this genre.
Amo il design dei personaggi, i boss sono molto difficili
For someone who haven't played Bullet hell games since 10 years back it took some time to get into it, but man was it worth it! This game was asthetically pleasing, addictive gameplay and interesting boss fights. You fight against the clock before you are overwhelmed with enemy projectiles. I have no clue how people manage to beat the [Ferox] Bosses but I'll need some more practice or perhaps upgrades before I take those on. All in all, I definitely recommend people to give this game a go, for the price it's out for now it's a real steal! Looking forward to trying new upgrades and more boss stages :))
The game is pretty good and I like it. I think it has potential and am waiting to see it getting developed. There aren't any gamebreaking issues, so if you like bullet hell games, give this one a try.
Bullet Casters delivers a memorable gaming experience with its captivating art style, immersive music, and engaging gameplay. The hand-drawn visuals and detailed environments make for a striking aesthetic, while the atmospheric soundtrack perfectly complements the on-screen action. Responsive controls and a variety of abilities keep players entertained and challenged. Overall, Bullet Casters is a fantastic game that shouldn't be missed by fans of the genre or anyone looking for a well-crafted gaming experience.
Challenging, dynamic and unique! I just bought this game, at first it took me a while to get the hang of it but once you learn the enemy patterns it becomes even funnier! I've only defeated one boss so far and can't wait to discover the others! I hope new updates will come out soon!
*Very cute drawings and character personalities *Interesting enemy patterns (I'm still stuck on some Q.Q) *4 Different playstyles (Favill is my favorite) Still have more to play and I'm having fun :3
