6.3 A nice neat little adventure point and click with a paint of horrors and grotesque-ness. It's not too long overall, with my run time clocking in around 3 hours. There was only one section that had me quite annoyed and that's in the sewer pipe section where you are met with a ton of worms, It wasn't too clear what to do in that section so I kept approaching it wrong for many many tries but eventually did find out. The only other part that I was on for an 'unreasonably' longer time was during the fishing memory, it isn't too clear that you can go down into the hole, I was flying around in circles for a little bit before realising. The teeth near the end were at times a little annoying to get through. I also felt that the final boss (The spitting part) took a little too long of the same thing to do and failure meant restarting the whole thing which with it's length was just a little frustrating. Finally I also didn't realise the book was to level select and accidentally started the beginning again, luckily quitting out and back let me go back and interact with the TV. Other than those issues I enjoyed it, The puzzles were never to complex and just a little exploration around the room it soon became apparent on what to do. It's strictly a linear room by room (outside the sewer part I guess) style puzzle adventure with a lot of horror charm. The no-language approach with having them speak their own language and it all be conveyed visually is pretty good too, aside from the book at the end it was never really an issue.

돈주고 사고싶지는 않은 여러모로 난해한 게임.
Bulb Boy establishes a grotesque, singular visual identity rooted in a vivid green palette and surreal creature designs that remain unforgettable. This bizarre aesthetic manages to feel both unsettling and strangely endearing as the protagonist frequently detaches his own glowing head to manipulate the environment or navigate murky, dangerous corners. Navigating the surreal world often requires patience due to the approximate nature of the movement controls which can lead to overshooting key triggers. Clicking to move sometimes results in the character becoming snagged on environmental geometry, necessitating repeated inputs to successfully reposition the hero within these highly detailed, imaginative spaces. Puzzle solving thrives when it leans into the protagonist’s unique physiology, such as using his light bulb head to banish shadows or solve machinery-based riddles. Ingenious item interactions, like repurposing dentures as tools or employing a feather duster to extend reach, inject a welcome sense of logic into an otherwise unpredictable nightmare. Flashbacks and dream-like sequences keep the pacing brisk by temporarily shifting the perspective to other family members or pets. These vignettes add layers of depth to the narrative while providing a necessary diversion from the darker, more horror-infused areas of the primary setting that define the bulk of the journey. Auditory cues complement the visual strangeness perfectly with bizarre, unintelligible character voices paired with unexpectedly peaceful, melodic musical arrangements. Even during the most intense boss encounters, the soundtrack maintains a curious charm that balances the mounting tension with a persistent, playful sense of humour throughout the entire playthrough. Minor frustrations arise when obscure puzzle solutions demand specific, somewhat arbitrary interactions that can lead to moments of aimless pixel-hunting across the scenery. Additionally, the sensitivity of the interface occasionally results in accidental dialogue skipping, while the delayed input response can make high-stakes, timed challenges like the falling teeth sequence feel punishingly tedious. Overall, this surreal journey is a captivating achievement that successfully marries grotesque horror elements with delightful, tactile mechanics. Despite the finicky controls and occasional moments of trial-and-error, the constant stream of imaginative design choices makes the experience a thoroughly worthwhile endeavour for anyone seeking something uniquely strange and consistently charming.
