It's like Gang Beasts but if you replace the beasts with Roombas and the gang with knives
This game is probably the best thing I have every played. I used to have an awful life, my wife hated me, my children didn't respect me, I hadn't had a positive social encounter in months. Then I bought Broombot Battlegrounds. My wife saw the simple yet beautiful graphics and remembered why she fell in love with me, the fun and compelling multiplayer functionality gave me something to bond over with my kids, and making friends became a breeze thanks to the online play option. Thank you Cleanup Kings LLC, for everything.
Amazing 2d art an a cool concept but the game feels underdeveloped. Couch co op is cool and all but this would be a great game to play with friends online. I found the controls a bit frustrating and the mechanics seemed to heavily rely on power-ups, third partying, and luck rather than any actual skill. I also wish there were PC controls so i wasn't gate-kept by needing a controller for a game released on a PC platform. Again, cool concept, great 2D art, but was definitely expecting A LOT more from something this expensive. I hope i can recommend this game to others in the future, but the 1.0.0 release is not worth 14.99
This is a great party game to play with friends either in person or online. We had a ton of laughs and it does feed into my cleaning compulsions. For sure recommend you get this game to play!
Stuck a fork in an electrical outlet. Died. 10/10 would do it again
LOVE this party game! This game feels a lot like Gang Beasts meets Mario Kart Balloon Battle, meets Combat Robots (except the robots are Roombas). The game has a clear stylistic direction and doesn't focus too hard on taking itself seriously, which I think is perfect for a party game. The powerups are broken (in the best possible way) and are always a riot. The gamemodes all feel unique from each other, and overall the game is just... easy! Anyone, even a non-gamer, can pick up a controller and do just as well as most others. And even if they don't, they'll still have a good time, haha. The devs did a great job of giving this game an low skill floor, with a skill ceiling that isn't too high either. You might think that because this is a party game, you couldn't get that invested. But that's where you're wrong. This game doesn't have low stakes; it DEMANDS that you get invested in your robot. I've already seen friends get into fights because of this game. I swear, you'd think that they had their entire family lineage slighted. Honestly, I'd be surprised if this game doesn't end as many friendships as Monopoly. Maybe even approaching the sheer levels of destruction of Mario Party, God forbid. All in all, I think this is a wonderful game. In the updates since launch there's already been a ton of improvements, and the developers already noted their intentions for adding more content to the game, which I can't wait for. Great job, Broombot team!
Broombot is a hilarious, fun and creative game. You can tell the devs really enjoyed putting this work of art together. Great work guys!
Game was a lot of fun! Super cute and adorable! I can't wait to drag all my friends and family into this game!!! My only issue is that the controls are a bit frustrating and doesn't accurately reflect what's stated on the screen!
Super fun game to play with friends or even by yourself if that's how you roll. Fun music, responsive game play and awesome aesthetics
Simple premise for a game, but makes for a great party game, Controls are smooth, and works with gamecube controllers without issue.
