BROK the InvestiGator - Prologue

Бесплатный пролог (двухчасовой, нужно заметить! И это если вы ещё не будете заморачиваться со сбором всех стикеров) о приключениях детектива Брока. Яркая сочная картинка, отличные музыкальное и звуковое сопровождения, простота в управлении (но лучше всего играть с гейпадом), разнообразные головоломки, качественный юмор и просто классный сюжет! Прошёл демку с величайшим удовольствием и обязательно буду брать полную версию, игра определённо точно этого стоит.

Esse jogo é muito legal. A arte dele é bem bonitinha. Por mais que o mundo esteja morto, ainda tem uma certa vida com os personagens mais coloridos, mesmo que ainda seja só animais antropomórficos. A gameplay é bem legal. É divertido explorar esse mundo e resolver mistérios e ajudando pessoas. É um mundo meio apocalíptico, mas que ainda tem certa esperança. O combate é meio simples, mas não precisa ser muito. Gostei especialmente do sistema de interrogação, foi bem legal.

Вы играете за крокодила-детектива Брока, бывшего боксёра, который живёт с приёмным сыном Граффом на дне футуристического общества животных — за пределами защитного купола, под которым прячется элита. Пролог содержит первую из шести глав и предлагает 2–4 часа геймплея: расследование, головоломки, драки и выборы, влияющие на сюжет. Плюсы: оригинальное смешение жанров — переключение между режимом приключения и боем происходит мгновенно, и каждую задачу можно решить либо умом, либо кулаками, что делает прохождение уникальным для каждого игрока; стиль и атмосфера мультфильмов 90-х — яркая рисованная графика, полное озвучивание, запоминающиеся персонажи и тёплая ностальгическая подача создают обаяние, которого не хватает многим инди-проектам. Минусы: боевая система ощущается деревянной — ограниченный набор атак, скованное управление и невнятная система прокачки делают драки наименее интересной частью игры; технические шероховатости — баги с анимациями, жесткая система сохранений после смерти и местами неинтуитивные подсказки могут раздражать, особенно в первой главе. Итог: обаятельный и амбициозный пролог, который отлично показывает потенциал гибрида квеста и beat 'em up — стоит пройти бесплатно, если вам нравятся детективные истории в духе мультфильмов 90-х и вы готовы простить грубоватую боевую систему ради сюжета и атмосферы.

This game is mostly a investigation game, with the fighting part being secondary (beside I wanted to try the game cuz of the fighting part heh). Beside the game has fighting in it, I think it's somewhat a under developed aspect of the game, with foes, except for the rat boss not hitting hard enough to make the fight look dangerous. And I was playing on Normal difficulty. If you do not mash the attack button, you can beat most of the fights just by air comboing your opponents until their health reaches 0. Anyways, I mostly preffered doing the fighting parts because, it's fun (I even failed intentionally on a puzzle because of that). The artwork is actually great. Both characters and their portraits actually share the same art, so it doesn't cause any case of discrepancy. And during dialogues, they even change portraits depending on what is being said, improving the dialogue further. The developers even added eye blinking to characters portrait (beside forgot to add smoke on the first scenes). Inspecting things and talking with npcs lead to interesting dialogues with npcs, which might start to wear out and cause you to click through part of the dialogues, even more if they're long (I don't really have much patience for long dialogues). I had skipped part of the dialogues because they started to sound a bit dull and long. As mentioned on the game description, at least the first chapter is free, and there's even a score at the end to tell you what choices you've made, and tell the percentage of people who picked that choice. What I don't like is when the game takes you for stupid. There was a moment where I intentionally failed a puzzle because my character was hurt by some lasers, and I didn't wanted to finish it with low health (even more since I would need that health later). The game offered itself to solve the puzzle for me or something. I really found that insulting. Yep, I didn't let it solve the puzzle myself, even more since it was pretty straight forward. The only moment I had to get a clue of what to do next, was when mixing informations to interrogate a npc, but that was at the end of the prologue. I say that this game is nice, though. I might try the full version when I'm able to get it.
