Beautiful art, immersive music and great voice acting ! Almost half the cast is LGBT, including MC :] There's a good amount of moments where you have to make a choice, even though the number of possible routes is low. Once you've finished the game you can predict what are the other endings easily. But the story and the world stay enchanting, and the characters are very attaching *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
It's a good story for a modern audience. There are a few choices to make, but it's mostly like a graphic novel. I think the art and story are well done!
I have only played through one of the endings, so I can't say how all of them will go. In general, this game was great. The story is interesting, the characters are fun, and the interface is just fine (which, sadly, isn't always the case). However, I found the ending to be a little too disjointed, especially compared to the rest of the story. There were elements that weren't explained, which I found frustrating. That being said, the story was still definitely worth it. I really look forward to seeing the other endings.
Nice VN with unique and pretty art work :3 Love me the queer representation too (and women with hairy armpits was a nice touch!)~ The characters feel believable and I quite liked the different endings and how the choices got you different scenes. Although sometimes the 'good' coded choice was morally wrong in my opinion X'D
Fairly enjoyable story with some funny moments and some sad moments. There was some shocks as well and a couple of surprises.. Being part 1 is does make me want the next part..
Ugh this story is SOOOOOOOOOO good. I don't usually gush in reviews on here, especially about games. But this is a VN, basically a book. And I *do* gush about books. I especially love books with tons of gay, particularly the lesbian sort. :) The art in parts could be better, but in all I like it. the voice acting at first got on my nerves a little, but then I got into the story and it doesn't bother me now.
Bought it on sale, finished reading in about 4 hours for the 'Balanced' ending of the three claimed endings. I took this visual novel because of the living in diversity vibe, stories with magics, and the artworks. I was not disappointed :) The voice actings were enjoyable - I only skip the spoken words in lines with few words on them and listen to the rest. And the OST, those were great picks. No weird notes for my taste. There were also environment ambiences. (For example sounds of chatters, clocks, people reading a book when Ash was in the library.) I recommend to use head/earphones to hear sound details :) The story continues to Part II of the same 'The Book of Gray Magic' title.
+ beautiful art, gergous lady character, very gay A+ + awesome voice acting, funny jokes, bloopers at the end kinetic graphic novels are not my thing, you can make a few decisions wether you want the MC to be more meanie or nicey or balanced, but the story and the art are so good, and it is still good on the second read worth every cent !!
A pleasant surprise! I was gifted this game by a friend of mine who recommended it and I was glad to finally getting around to it. The story was really interested and it was carried by the wonderful characters. Hektor was my favorite but Ash was a close second. I actually relate to her a fair bit and her friendship with Belinda was very cute. The story handles it's romance aspect with Ash very well but I won't really spoil it. There's on line in particular when Ash is talking to a female guard near the end the resonated with me a lot and I actually use that concept a bit in my own writings so it was cool to see another story tackle the subject. Cute artstyle too! I highly recommend this short read (it has 3 differnt endings and a sequel I am looking forward to reading) Sadly I don't know what the devs are up to nowadays since they have not updated their social media in 2 years and the extras menu in the game links to a defunct site. I hope they are doing well and wish them the best!
I love playing Visual Novels, but haven't been able to get into them lately. This one grabbed me and pulled me in, though. loved the artwork, the characters, and the stories. I love VN's that have Voice Acting in them too, and it was well done too. I can recommend this VN.
