Best top-down combat game there is. Hands down, no competition. The only real flaw it has is that there isn't more. Like if they've turned this into something like an arpg with looting and various activities it would just plain brake the genre. Already had it on GoG but was on sale so I couldn't resist. I still have the "itch" though so maybe I'll go around buying it for some friends :)
I like the splosions.
Really shows its age.
Very underrated game, extremely fun gameplay with a lot of choice in different weapons and vehicles to use, highly recommend it!
very masterfully crafted game
Immaculate vibes.
Cool idea and deep lore but the gimmick gets old kind of fast graphics: 8/10, the art people really knew what they were doing story: 7/10, cyberpunk dystopias are overdone, but they're popular for a reason gameplay: 4/10, it's just "destroy these specific buildings" over and over and over soundtrack: 9/10, not really my style but i can see why other people love it so much over all it's pretty good for a while but you are NOT getting your money's worth if you pay $20 for this, go play hotline miami or something also worth noting there are some vague accusations of some kind of political drama with the dev team but i can't find any details or evidence, feel free to look into it yourself
Contrary to the tag, this isn't a twin stick shooter. At least, it wasn't designed to be, given how directional damage is factored for both the player and the enemy. As far as I'm aware, screen absolute movement was added ad hoc to address gamers bemoaning tank controls. Do yourself a favour and toggle both movement options to "RELATIVE" so that the responsive nuance of flanking/positioning isn't stripped down, and also so that you don't end up fighting the controls while manning vehicles that don't have omnidirectional aim/turrets. I already own this game on GOG, but decided to buy it again since it's on sale. There's a handcrafted quality to its presentation that immerses, distinguished by its own 90s isometric TRPG art-style in a vibrant cyberpunk "neon noir" colour palette that conforms to environmental destruction, a brilliantly moody analogue synth-rich soundtrack, flavour texts that act as hooks for the audiobook (one of my favourite listens in a good while). Brigador is an overall aesthetic triumph, with just enough variety in challenges and unburdened with pretentious fluff. Very much looking forward to Stellar Jockeys' next project.
