About
It was supposed to be a simple errand: return a book to the library. But when you're an aspiring adventurer, every quest is an epic quest! Bravest Coconut is a puzzle adventure about a little white cat armed with curiosity, stubbornness, and whatever she can fit in her pockets.

Tambryn Valley is a hand-pixeled world full of places to explore and secrets to be found around every corner. Talk to the locals and poke around where you shouldn't be poking around to unravel the mysterious goings on.
Bravest Coconut is a puzzle game at heart. You'll solve inventory puzzles, dialogue puzzles, environmental brain-teasers, and plenty of surprises that don't fit neatly into any category. Some are tucked into the main story but many more are hidden off the beaten path for anyone adventurous enough to hunt them down.
The valley isn't all friendly faces. Monsters are everywhere but for a brave adventurer such as yourself, that's just a regular Tuesday. And for the less brave adventurers who just want to experience the puzzles, there's a bunch of handy accessibility options to customise your experience.
A 3-5 hour main story that then unlocks a speed run mode
A hand-pixeled world full of hidden paths, secret collectables, and surprises
Heaps of puzzles including inventory, dialogue, environmental, and a few that defy description
A cast of quirky characters with their own problems, opinions, and questionable advice
Simple, fun combat
Full accessibility options: remap input, reduce motion, adjust difficulty of combat or skip it entirely
Playable on Windows, macOS, and Linux/Steamdeck

Bravest Coconut is a witty puzzle game with lots of heart and art. You play as Coconut, a white cat who needs to return a library book.. simple, right? Nope lol. You’re about to go on a big adventure. In this pixel art puzzler, you meet the quirky locals, find treasure, fight monsters (if you want), eat cheesecake, and go on quests. The dialogue in Bravest Coconut is fun, and the story feels comforting. It’s one of those lovely cozy games that you can grab a nice drink, some snacks, and settle in for an afternoon of fun. The puzzles themselves are so excellent, a good balance of fun and skill. I won’t say any more than that :) The pixel art in the game is superb with a pleasing palette, and beautifully animated moments that feel like a reward. Even Coco’s sword swing is fully animated in 8 directions. She’s right-pawed, btw, just like the real life Coconut cat! Fighting in the game is optional, it’s possible to play through completely pacifist, or to turn on assistive options like monsters having 1HP, Coco’s HP regenerating, invulnerability, and more. The accessibility options are great, there are many but I personally love playing with the dyslexic font turned on, and being able to save at any time. It’s pretty incredible that Nathan has built this as a solo developer, it’s just so well built and executed. And it’s his first Steam game. In terms of other games, it reminds me of Zelda, Melon Journey, and Earthbound. Even though I have racked up considerable hours playtesting this, I am excited to be able to do a more leisurely play through and get all of the achievements officially on Steam. Full disclosure: I received my copy for free because Nathan is my partner and favourite person on earth, and Coconut is our real life cat. And because I have been playtesting the game! At the end of my first full play through, I told Nathan that I thought he had created something really special with Bravest Coconut. I hope you will have a beautiful experience like I’ve had playing this game. And if I missed any bugs, please let Nathan know via Discord!
Totally worth the wait! Love the puzzles. To solve them actually makes sense which is AWESOME! The pixel art style is classic 90s games. The NPCs add extra interest to the game with their own little personalities. FYI Bin Chickenz rock! Can't wait to see what Little Nebula brings out next!!!!
10/10 More please. 💯💯💯💯 Bravest Coconut combines the best of classic adventure games with the story and self-referential absurdist charm of classic lucasarts point-and-click adventure titles like Monkey Island, Sam and Max, and Day of the Tentacle. There's plenty of fun puzzles to solve and sensible chuckles to be had. 5/7 perfect score. I'd write more about my favourite parts but I don't want to spoil the fun/jokes 😅 Also runs perfectly on my Steamdeck! 🎮✔️
The world feels lived in and is fun to explore. The dialogue makes me chuckle.
Very fun, playful game with lots of adventure. I have only played for a short time so far, but there are so many things I want to go back to try to explore. The caves/dungeons are challenging but fun and the secrets hidden make it much more exciting. I highly recommend this game.
I’m having a blast as Coco so far! The writing is awesome - I’m laughing and learning at the same time! Even the simple thing of acquiring quest items is handled with care and respect from the characters. It’s a beautiful world to be a part of. My daughter really enjoyed the Demo, and once I’ve played ahead a little more into the story a bit more, I can’t wait to let her have a go through it too!
Bravest Coconut is not like the games I usually play, but the pixel art is cool. The NPCs add extra interest to the game with their witty dialogue. Love the Bin Chickenz side story in the quest. I like that the puzzle solutions aren't totally random like other games & actually make sense.
A very cute puzzle game with a surprising amount of depth and complexity to keep you amused for a couple of hours.
Very fun puzzle-imbued RPG with clever dialogue with some game troupe subversions and fourth wall breaks to keep it funny and fresh. I played through the game in about 2.5 hours casually with some extra exploration/secret finding. If I went for everything, I'm guessing it would take about 4-5 hours. Some pros and cons (minor spoilers below) What I liked: -Puzzles were really well designed and required some mental math, but not so much that it was frustrating or annoying. -Characters were likeable and unique, and each one served the story in one way or another -Most of the items you find actually remain relevant for multiple parts of the game instead of finding them once and never using them again -Cool custom animations for each unique item used, which made things feel much more alive -8 directional movement made things feel fluid and responsive Could be improved: -Enemies respawn every time you enter or re-enter a room, which caused combat fatigue quickly when I was backtracking during puzzles or lost in a cavern. -It would be nice to return to the world after finishing the game to find secrets and go for 100% completion without having to start a new save file Favorite area: Underground lab - most unique area and interesting puzzles. The big change in scenery also fit well for it being a later stage of the game. Least favorite area: Lost caverns - I did get lost, which I think was intended, but generally for me getting lost is more frustrating than fun unless there's some other factor keeping things interesting. It seemed like all of the clues were directing me to the lava room, but I ended up just getting out by chance, so I think I missed something Overall, would recommend. This game has compelling puzzles and fun characters but respects your time and wallet.
Playing through with the family on the couch. Everyone is really enjoying it, classic retro vibes with all the modern niceties. Funnier than I was expecting too. Looking forward to finishing the game and whatever comes next from the dev!
