The game isn't bad. But if you've played the first one, it's clearly not worth it. It's a copy-paste with a different skin. Nothing really new.
Not quite worthy of being called "Part 2" – but still fun and full of potential.
I’ve played Boxing School 2 and overall, I’d say: for €10-€15, you get a solid game that’s definitely fun. Graphically, it’s a noticeable and much-needed upgrade over the first game – the visuals are more polished and modern. However, it still feels more like a large DLC or a remaster than a true sequel. Many of the sounds are identical, the league system remains the same (3 leagues), and the gameplay systems are nearly unchanged – just slightly expanded. Even the skill trees, while a bit larger, don’t feel like a big step forward. Here are my suggestions/ideas that could truly make Boxing School 2 feel like a proper sequel:

[th]Feature[/th] [th]Description[/th]

More & improved sound design For punches, crowd reactions, knockouts, etc.

More leagues or championships Expand the sense of progression with more leagues.

Diverse boxer personalities Unique behaviors, strengths, and weaknesses for each fighter.

Interactions inside & outside With coaches, rivals, media, or sponsors.

Media presence Press conferences, interviews, fan reactions, and social media.

Training camps & special events With stat boosts, sparring challenges, or overseas camps.

Detailed injuries Healing phases and risk-based decisions ("fight through pain?").

Watch live fights from other leagues Adds drama and dynamics to title races and improves scouting.

Legacy system Retired or aging boxers – including those from other leagues – can be recruited as trainers. These former fighters could coach your active boxers, influence fighting styles or training efficiency, and help shape your gym’s identity. Depending on their fame level, they also bring a fame boost to your gym, attracting better fighters, media attention, and even sponsorships. Over time, you'd build a true legacy with a deep roster of fighters and respected veterans mentoring the next generation.

Youth leagues & development Discover and grow young talent from the ground up.

Scouting through actual matches Watch fighters in lower or youth leagues and recruit them directly.

Conclusion: Boxing School 2 definitely has charm and some fun gameplay, but in its current state, it’s not worth buying if you already own/played and enjoyed the first one. It lacks the depth, freshness, and innovation expected from a sequel. Still, I really hope the devs keep working on it – there’s HUGE potential here, and with enough updates, it could grow into something truly special.
This game is 95% exactly a copy from the first game just in a new skin and a tiny rebalance. I liked the first one and i like this one, too, but is it worth a buy? Maybe not if you own the first one already...
Boxing School 2 is currently more of a disappointment for me, I think Boxing School 1 is much better designed graphically. The combat system, training system, skills, promotion deals, random events, level system, etc. - in other words, at least 95% of the game is taken from the predecessor. The only new thing is the graphics of the game in general, unfortunately that's all you notice. I was really looking forward to the sequel, but unfortunately my expectations have not been met. Nevertheless, it is of course just as much fun as Boxing School 1.
It brings me no joy when I see a step back in the game design and art from the previous game.
DO NOT BUY! DEVELOPER has ALREADY ABANDONED THE GAME and the GAME IS BROKEN! He updated the game for all of one month, and it's BEEN ABANDONED SINCE MAY (2025). Less than three weeks of "support" from release. The game also BEGS for positive reviews when you leave the game. Exit? No, another exit screen. Are you sure? Yes, I'm sure. Too bad, please give us a positive review and press yet another exit button. Just an awful and dishonest developer. No tutorial, nothing explained. Boxers winning and losing potential. Boxers losing stamina rating with no explanation or way to increase the stamina. Game play is terrible, the AI definitely cheats. The same rules don't apply to them. For example, a Ultimate from your boxer where they hit their opponent 7 times in the face only gets 1 point, but if the opponent does the same thing it's 7 points. Just terrible and lazy programming. Another terrible, lazy piece of programming is the taunt function. When it's on, the "taunt" will regain stats. That's fine. But why do they use it with full stats letting their opponent punch them? It's only your character that will do it, the AI waits for his stats to be depleted. The AI seems to also know perfectly when you have an Ultimate that requires a punch to waste time and not let you use your ultimate. Just an awful, awful and lazy developer. BS2 is basically the same game as it's predecessor. And the developer has a long history of abandoning games for a long period of time, then fixing the problems when he's releasing a new one. The developer is just incredibly lazy in his planning and development. For example, you have the opportunity when the boxers train to do what is basically a power up by clicking on a "boost" button. But when you have more than one boxer, the majority of the time, that other boxer will be standing right in front of the one you're trying to boost making it impossible to do it. Just terrible and lazy developing. I bought it because I was bored, and it's been a while since I played the original. If you already have the first, it's nearly exactly the same. I seriously can't find one difference yet and I've played almost five hours. Just like the first game (and I mean EXACTLY like the first game) the "improved" training regiments are downgrades. One of the "improved" training regimens is the pull up bar. The reason it's supposed to be "improved" is it lets you gain two stats at once. Yet, it takes 2-3 times the time to get those stats, making it less efficient then getting them using the single stat training. JUST LIKE THE FIRST GAME. The only way I'd suggest it is if you haven't played the first. Then it's fine. Just remember that he'll abandon it quickly.
Take the first game, add fun improvements, remix the music that slaps, and you got a winner. Worth every penny. I'd have paid just to support these devs.
Initial state of the game was far from perfect; but the developer reacts quickly and resolves reported issues. I've changed my review to "positive".
A shameless money grab! The game is just a reskin of the first game. Not much changed except for graphics. Very disappointed.
