It's got a great premise.. gamifying the Pomodoro Technique. As somebody who struggles with focus and productivity at times, this sounded right up my alley. So, why the thumbs down? Progression is molasses-slow, strange, and the gamification elements are light and don't really do much to motivate me. I'm what, 25 hours in by the time I wrote this review and I'm only on combat "level" 18. The upgrades you can buy only pertain to your pomos, coins, and how fast you can clear combat "levels", which again is laughably slow. Crystals come from completing tasks and prestiging, which you can't do until you get to "level" 100+. As you progress in combat, you can unlock things that increase how much of the currencies you get, but unless the game magically snowballs later it's never going to feel satisfying. I understand this is a game AND a tool, but I bought this because of the gamification aspect, and what's there is just too slow, limited and uninteresting to me. EDIT/rant: I'm now about 50 hours in, got to combat "level" 28. A couple unlocks to minorly, and I mean minorly, increase my pomos/coins which go straight to buying more combat efficiency in grave attempt to keep up with the exponentially growing time it takes to level up. These minor crumbs of progress are unfun and meaningless. One item I unlocked is a temporary buff to give +% combat efficiency, +25 min/pop. Level 1 cost like 3k coins for 0.9%, level 2 costs 5T for 3.81%. I understand developing productivity habits is a marathon and not a sprint, but in gamification this is ridiculous and not going to motivate people well. That said, since I bought it I will probably keep using this for the timers etc as I find the software component decent, but look elsewhere if you want a more productive/rewarding game. If you're still curious, please try the demo yourself.

the UI is a touch too crowded, making it difficult to supervise and purchase every in-game items between breaks, the progression is unbelievably slow, and it's absurd that there is little to no incentive for finishing each pomodoro duration. completing a pomodoro session should feel rewarding when it comes to being a gamified tool, yet the game offers little to no substantial benefits for staying on track. the system feels quite empty since there isnt any *obvious* in-game advancements (you have to micromanage almost every expect, and the permanent upgrades arent much to work with), the upgrades and item shops aren't very interesting, and there isnt any genuine incentive to keep playing aside from trying to make you progress your generation... which could take, like, 50-100 hours in-game time. while it works nicely as the anti-distraction pomodoro app, the entire experience with the in-game system itself soon turns into a pointless grind with no pleasant return; speedhacks might as well be used to obtain the benefits immediately. because i am a completionist, i will keep on using this app until i unlock all achievement. unless you enjoy navigating a cumbersome system for minimal payoff, you're better off using a simple timer app, or another good pomodoro app like Pomofarm on Steam.
It's okay. Needs a bulk purchase button with a cute animation Vampire Survivors style and maybe a way to export a report of hours focused broken down by day/week/month that sort of thing. After 800 hours, I think I depend on this thing forever now. On the issue of "Why not try press and hold for bulk purchase," it takes too long, my 5 min break is holy. It's more convenient to press 1 button watch 3 second animation get the dopamine hit and walk around for 4 minutes and 57 seconds. Also, I legit adore this little app. The "it's okay" was facetious. Legend of Pomodoro has carried me through 800 hours of a math degree with 1600 more to go.
I guess I just haven't really figured out the point of the game. I'm 72 hours in, have collected a ♥♥♥♥ ton of tomatoes, and have nothing to really show for it? I buy upgrades, get more tomatoes, but there is so little visual change in anything that I feel like i've not done anything. I think If the town started out empty and you slowly got to add buildings as upgrades or something I might have enjoyed this more. Of all the idle games i've played though, this is the most unsatisfying. I feel like nothing I do matters here.
Makes me crave something better. Progression is slow so you don't really get the same kind of satisfaction you might get from a regular idle game. The temp upgrade system means you need to micro manage to get the most out of your timers which kind of defeats the purpose of Pomodoro. This could quite easily be fixed with some kind of "automatic purchase" system.
Great gamified productivity app. My only issue with this is that the numbers aren't designed well for progression. I found myself plateauing for certain long stretches of time (around 100 hours or so) without much progress. As an example, I'm stuck requiring 1.3bn coins to get an upgrade that will increase my tomato production from ~80k per second all the way up to 2.03m per second. This is a massive jump in progress, but the issue is that I only produce 10k coins per second (with all coin upgrades unlocked for my adventuring level), which would take ages to get to the 1.3bn coins needed to progress to the next order of magnitude.
Really cute little gamified pomo timer. It has a homey, comfortably retro feel. I really wanted to love it, as I use box timers/pomodoro all day, but I don't see a way to export or log my data, and it seems to "freeze" between the work and rest periods (notifications broken for my windom manager in Linux? not sure).
