Box Out!

Isn't going to turn heads, but is a solid platformer that shows me a developer with real potential: As a lot of the design decisions regarding natural player progression, level design, and basic gameplay shows a lot of good design elements and smart decision making. While the game does seemingly lack content over the long haul, the two based action gameplay regarding switching between forms is the highlight here, and while the art and collision detection fails at points, it was an enjoyable experience in the end. I'd pick it up on sale when you have the chance. Ce jeu est une petite merveille pour les speedrunners ! De la difficulté, des cuts, un gameplay rapide et précis et un univers suffisament travaillé pour ne pas être répétitif :D La difficulté est extrèmement bien dosé et est très progressive. Je recommande sans hésiter ;)

Cute platformer game where the levels on average are not that hard to complete if 'just getting trough' is your goal. The difficult part comes when you try to grab achievements. First world is a breeze but then difficulty goes up as on every level you compete for a) time trophy b) using least amount of transformation action c) trying to get all the 3 trophies scattered around in the level. Game has a nice hook built into it here which ensures i will be playing this some more. Time trophy targets especially are EXTREMELY tight. I raise a hat to those who are able to grab these achievements. Arcade and Time attack mode gets unlocked after awhile too.

Game is hard... 11/10 Would confuse the transformation button and have to restart a level for the 10th time again !

GREAT GAMEPLAY, EPIC CHALLENGES, AWESOME GAME ! No deep storyline here, Box Out! is gameplay focused. It is a real "easy to learn, hard to master" type of game. Kind of a mix between a platformer and a puzzle game but made for speedrunners. The 6 transformations are very fun to use (I love the rocket and the spikes forms). Learning curve is well balanced so you can feel the difficulty slowly rising. Three optional challenges in each level: retrieve 3 cups, beat the level under a certain time, beat the level using a limited number of transformations. You can sometimes get 2 trophies at the same time, but generally I had to do seperate runs. But it's all good, half of the fun came from perfecting the run and the satisfaction of beating the clock by 0.01 second (YOU FREAKING PIECE OF SH**)!!!

Un très bon jeu de plateforme, sans lags/chargements et facile à prendre en main sans pour autant ne proposer aucune difficulté. Un côté Old-School omniprésent très plaisant pour les amateurs de vieux jeux de plateformes. Bon courage si vous souhaitez réussir les temps pour chaque niveau.

Jeu très intéressant du fait de sa triple rejouabilité pour chaque niveau (10 mondes de 12 niveaux quand même) : Items à récolter (trophées), plus petit temps possible et le moins de transformation possibles. Les transformations sont bien pensées et le jeu est un mélange de jeu de plateforme, de puzzle bien pensé et très bien adapté pour les accros du speedrun. En effet,si ce contenu déjà prometteur ne vous suffit pas, vous pouvez tenter de battre des records dans le VS Mode afin de montrer qui a la plus grosse (enfin le plus petit temps en l'occurence). Pour 7€ allez-y, vous en aurez pour votre prix :) -- Very interesting game because each level can be played in 3 different ways : Get items (trophies), beat the clock and try to morph as less as possible. These transformations are really nice and the game is a great mix of platform and puzzle (and nice for speedrun too). If this content is not enough to convince you, there's a VS Mode when you can try to do the best time ! For 7$ get the game, you won't regret it :)

A hard but addictive die & retry platformer. Getting all the objectives seems pretty difficult! The learning curve is really smooth though, and the absence of loading times combined with very fast paced gameplay allows you to keep on trying without losing your mind. I would recommend this game to anyone out there who likes their old school 2D platformer skills challenged.

Je ne suis pas du tout un speedrunner mais voilà un jeu qui sera sans doute ma porte ouverte vers l'obstination a toujours faire un meilleur temps. C'est un jeu exigeant avec une courbe de progression de la difficulté parfaite. Voyez ce jeu comme un Super Meat Boy qui n'est pas centré sur les wallrun ou wall jump mais plutot sur les capacités de transformation de votre avatar. Un vrai coup de coeur !
