About

Released for the Atari 2600 in 1983, Bounce attempted to dethrone the ball based gameplay king PONG, but due to releasing during the Video Game Crash, the game saw so few copies made, it never got the chance to properly combat its nemesis.
Now we finish the fight together, with Bounce 2.

The Bounce 2 Physics systems all work perfectly in sync together to create the ultimate playground, both locally and online. Simply jump into the ball for a simple and intuitive strategy, or go for a more precise approach using the right thumbstick. This marriage of physics and open ended player control just feels great to play.

Play with up to 4 Players locally, in all game modes. Will you prioritize Defence, Offence, or Player Elimination? Find your team, perfect your strategy, and take down your opponents!

Bounce 2 uses Photon Quantum, a bleeding edge deterministic networking solution that delivers frame perfect gameplay across all player clients. Every Jump, Kick, Dash, and Goal is perfectly synchronized, whether your playing a friend down the hall, or halfway around the world.

Designed to test each players skill level, this mode is the true proving ground. In Classic Mode, there is no numerical score. Instead, with each goal, the slider at the top of the screen in pushed toward the opposing side. This Tug of War style scoring means the more evenly the matched opponents, the longer the match.

Inspired by Brick Breaker, Brick Mode has each player breaking through a wall of bricks in order to score a goal. If the ball goes past your wall, your opponent scores, but your wall will be regenerated. Each round lasts 2 and half minutes, so works well if you want a quick competitive round.

Inspired by mini-game centred titles like Mario Party and Wario Ware, Party Mode is a mixed bag of 9 different modified rounds, randomly selected after each goal. Race your opponent down corridors in RUN, swim and dive in WATER mode, prove your skill in MULTI-BALL, or create your own custom mixture of your favourite modifiers in a custom playlist.

Inspired by the graphics and limitations of Bounce (1983), and perfected by years of experience with analog monitors and television, Bounce 2 features a CRT TV shader like you've never seen.

Bounce 2 was designed with Analog equipment in mind. Nothing is more frustrating than buying an HDMI to Analog adapter online just to have your game cut off, squished, and fundamentally unplayable!
By including a CRT Calibration setting, Bounce 2 allows users to fine tune their signal in game. Shift the position and scale of the signal until the Bounce arena lines up perfectly with your unique CRT. Its a simple addition, but makes a huge difference.

This ones for you sports fans. Choose from over 200 countries and compete in the Bounce World Games. its basically pong but you can move more and hurt the other person. its got fun little minigames and stuff. so basically we got pong but peak. 8.5/10
Amazing game that gives such a nostalgic feeling, truly feels like a spiritual successor to Pong.
This game is proof that simplicity doesn't mean a game can't be complex. Finely tuned hitboxes and a claustrophobic arena force quick, precise movements, making for short but exciting matches. It's not great on Steam Deck, but I can't be mad about that—the developers never claimed it would be. That said, it would be awesome if Steam Deck support improved in the future. I can only hope the developers continue to polish the game and grow its player base. There's something special here, and I'd love to see it succeed.
I really enjoyed the demo for this game and have been highly anticipating it for release. Congrats on publishing. The CRT effect is the best effect I have ever seen. I do quite a bit of emulation and have seen a few dozen different CRT effects and this beats them all. The gameplay is simple yet modern. Music is top notch and there's a momentum to the gameplay that gets you pumped. I love how pumped the World Games gets you with the music and the announcer. Party Mode has amazing music tracks as well. Just enhances the overall experience, encouraging everyone to get hype. Highly recommend. Bugs and/or feature requests: -***Steam Deck verification. In version 1.0 the performance has intermittent stuttering that was not present in the demo. Now it's version 1.01 and no longer launches on Steam Deck at all. Just a black screen. Please fix.*** -Directional pad on a controller just does not work. Even when I manually remap. It's very strange to not be able to navigate the menu without it. Please fix. - Main menu music from the demo is so good and I miss it. It really had vibes that immediately put you in the mood to play. The near silent music that's there now doesn't do much to pull me in. -The AI opponents could use some improvement. In Run Mode I can mostly just push them back into the firewall and win in under 10 seconds. And sometimes they just stand there doing nothing in Bounce or Brick Mode. -Bounce mode could also use some really good pump up music like with Party Mode and World Games mode. -Flag scrolling in World Games is a bit cumbersome. Something more streamlined would be nice.
This game is super cool! The aesthetic is very appealing and the game is great to pick up and play - you get very competitive very quickly lol. I don't have a crazy gaming set up so it's nice that this can run on anything, even on my sad dying laptop. There's so much love and care put into this game and you can really tell - the creators should be proud! :)
Love the presentation of this game and glad i found it. This is a lot of fun for the wife and I.
