I enjoyed this game and can definitely recommend. Likes - -Nice atmosphere -excellent sound design -doesn't overstay it's welcome -puzzles are straightforward - some of these games, the puzzles can be really obtuse. -Runs well on the Steam Deck Dislikes- -the combat is pretty underdeveloped and is not really needed However, biggest shout out goes to the developer for responding to questions and requests. I asked for an inverted Y option and was implemented. These are the kind of developers I want to support; those that value it's customers.
A pretty decent indie horror about a cult and a large borzoi. The game has a good spooky atmosphere with some jump scares sprinkled in and some genuinely fun puzzles, but bugs and some gameplay jank really detract from the experience. Worth checking out if horror is your jam and you can appreciate the work of a solo dev. Full game playthrough (spoilers): https://youtu.be/FBgudphxf-4?si=c112mJyZJ1tBImzC
10/10 game made by a single developer :o Chilling yet ... familiar >:) Horror fans will def recognise the inspirations behind the game (which was something that really surprised me, in a good way, since I wasn't expecting them). The lore is well written and it develops & transforms the more you explore/complete puzzles. Said puzzles, thankfully, were easy to figure out. Not overly complicated and fun to complete. Gameplay is terrifying... one wrong move and ... BAM! You will never know what is gonna be thrown at you >:D
11/10 game, this game made by a single developer has been made very well, was such a fun game to play with creepy creatures and cool story to unravel as you wander the map with the games creepy atmosphere and I cannot wait to see what lies in store for this game and anymore games from this developer, I highly recommend people give this game a try you will not be disappointed
Borzoi is a decent indie horror game about a giant killer dog and a cult. It works in a similar way to Granny, find items, solve puzzles, progress further. Pros + Decent Enough Simple Story + Dog Asset is Great + Two Endings, one good, one bad + A variety of enemies not just the big dog + Puzzles are well made and make sense Cons - A little short perhaps - Combat Is a little all over the place - Crafting feels an unnesscery addition. Overall though this is a solid game by a solo dev with decent gameplay and fun to be had. 7/10
I had so much fun with this game! The story and enemies were so intriguing, the puzzles were very satisfying to solve, and the atmosphere was fantastically creepy. If you're planning to play, I would suggest to take your time and keep your eye out for secrets. There are many little details and jump scares you could miss, but I promise you don't want to. The little details are so clever and help fill out the story in a great way. I'm very impressed by this solo dev!
A short and satisfyingly creepy little game! I'll be avoiding that dog in my nightmares. Love the effort that went into this, clearly the creator is someone who loves classic horror games. Really well done!
I've recently got more curious about indie games and came across this one. It was a pleasant surprise to see this was developed by a single person, and I must say from what I saw so far in this game (Got a few hours in) this game is really well crafted, mysterious, intriguing and well-balanced. Would definitly recommend!
An amazing game with some atmosphere and great puzzles. I had my mined blown multiple times in the best way you can think of :) One of the best buys I made recently
The game really surprised me, super creepy vibe that totally gave me Silent Hill flashbacks. The puzzles are actually smart and fun to figure out, not just random busywork. Loved the atmosphere, definitely worth checking out if you’re into psychological horror.
