Начинается как обычный симулятор ходьбы с головоломками, но позже добавляются элементы стелс. Противники умеют слушать и тяжелее выживать. https://youtu.be/g0wCdtdZDiY
Great little game for the price. Its no masterpiece but you can tell the dev had some solid ideas going into it, even its a little rough around the edges. Oh, and if you get stuck, like I did, the dev was kind enough to include a guide in the Community discussion!
Crypt Robbery could be a pretty good little game, but right now there are just too many aspects that hold it back and make what could be an enjoyable experience, a frustrating and unsatisfying struggle to get through. The very first section is just a sequence of light puzzles to get access to the aforementioned crypt, but as soon as you get in the first hassles begin. Here you don't have any weapon and you must navigate narrow corridors in search of some form of defence while avoiding not one, not two, but three cultists armed with bows that kill you in two hits and once aggroed they won't stop hunting you. While doing so you must solve some environmental puzzles to know how to proceed, but only in the order that the game wants and not paying attention to the "fake" hints; let me explain. Inside the first section of the crypt there are different rooms, in one of which there's a writing on the wall saying something like "the portrait in the bedroom moves, but only form the corner", so I reach the bedroom and inspect the two paintings on the walls but there's nothing to interact with. What you really need to do is to find a little diary hidden under a pillow and, after reading it, going into one of the cells in another section of the map and move some curtains to reveal a hole in the floor. I already examined those cells before and noticed that those same curtains were obviously covering something, but only after interacting with the hidden diary you can actually move them. The writing on the wall about the painting? It's completely irrelevant and doesn't come into play at any point throughout the game. Other inconveniences comes from the absence of some basic quality of life features. For example, during the game you come across different tools and weapons that you will have to manage in a limited inventory. To do that, in classic survival horror manner, you can use an item box to store some of the items you accumulate during your playthrough. The issue is that there's only one item box and it's at the entrance of the crypt, so if at any point you need to use it you will have to backtrack all the way to the very beginning to do so and, of course this worsen the deeper you delve into the dungeon. Speaking of the lack of quality of life features: the only source of light during your explorations is an oil lamp and the only melee weapon is a hammer you find pretty early in the game. Whenever you find a firearm and pick it up it automatically gets assigned to a number on your keyboard, so you can quickly swap between them. For some reason this only applies to firearms; there's no way of assigning a key to equip either the lamp or the hammer, so whenever you need to use them you have to open the inventory and manually select them. Every single time. And the game doesn't pause when you do so. Issues like these go on for the rest of the game and are present even in the very last section. This game has no manual save, instead there are autosaves in different points through the run. The last autosave happens before having to solve two puzzles in order to trigger the last boss fight. Once you manage to beat the boss you will have a choice between two paths, each granting you a different ending. One of the endings can be achieved from the same room you fought the boss in and it's the easiest to get, but the other one requires you to get all the way back to the beginning to get out of the crypt. During your final escape a ghost will spawn, from whom you have to hide. If you fail to do so you will instantly die, but because no autosave triggers after defeating the last boss you will be forced to solve the previous two puzzles, beat the boss and try to hide from the one-shot ghost again. I'm sorry but this is bullsh*t. Like I said at the beginning, this could have been a pretty neat little title, but poor design choices like the ones I mentioned feel like cheap expedients to stretch the playtime and an undeserved punishment to the player. Unexpectedly good! Give it a try if you are into horror games. Definitely best to play at night haha
Thank you Dad Games Construct for the key to check out your game. I think you did well for your first game the game definitely had its spooky and crazy moments no doubt on that. You nailed the creepy atmosphere in the cemetery and down in the crypt. keep up the good work and I look forward to what you create next! ❤️🙂
I would recommend making camera smoothing disabled. So far atmosphere seems good, will update my review after more play time.
