this version of the game sucks ass the only saving grace is that its kind of fun

It's Borderlands unless you've been under a rock or your completely new to gaming you've heard of it before they are up to installment 4 now its an FPS looter shooter with a quasi cartoony art style. This style lends itself well to the gameplay there are bazillions of procedurally generated guns that can do both standard and elemental damage such as fire, acidic, and electrical damage as well as many types of grenades that do the same as well as many types of shields and one type of vehicle with 2 variants. There are lots of insanely over the top characters many of them parodies of movie themes or social themes. The controls are crisp especially using a controller being among the best i have found for me in this regard i tend to be ham thumbed and overcontrol my only complaint being that sniping aim in the GOTY enhanced edition seemed off this is partly but not entirely due to the weapons being stat based but i did find a suggestion that seems to have helped this problem online. The borderlands franchise is among my top 5 favorites in this genre and tends to be an obsession when i start playing it i picked it up again on PC about 2 months ago and have put about 90 hours in since. No game is perfect and the one thing i find sometimes annoying about not always but sometimes is nuisance critters animals that spawn in large numbers mostly just to be killed for experience as the game does include several character types with leveling and skill trees this does not always bother me except when i have been playing for hours and just want to get something done and up pops 10 or 20 nuisance critters. Borderlands and the series is a great game and i give it a solid 9.75 out of 10 for being both imaginative and fun but sorry guys i am taking off a quarter point for all the times i have muttered fricking spider ants get out of my way i just want to finish this.

I remember when the original of this game dropped when i was like, 14 or so, Completely ignorant of it just because the animation style was off to me. Playing it now has been one of the best experiences right up there with bioshock. I am excited to play the second one and see where this story goes.
