14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Not worth the $70 period. Would pay maybe 50 but for the actual game itself, i regret buying it.
Gone are the days of actual DLC's for this series. Borderlands 2 and 3 had great DLC's that took hours to complete. Borderlands 4 is lacking. These bounty packs are great and all but they lack the fun and adventure that we had in 2 and 3. I looked forward to spending HOURS in new zones doing quests, killing bosses, and looking for treasure. Spending all of maybe 45mins to an hour killing 2-3 bosses just isn't it. Bring us back to spending 8+ hours doing this. We're also missing core characters that have been is past games that have also not died within storylines from past games. Where's Tiny Tina? That once psychotic child, now adult was the reason I got so attached to this series and she is no where to be found in 4. She had a very short story arc in 3 and then *poof*, nothing more. Can we bring back those that are known to be cherished and loved that haven't been "killed off"? Lastly, the thrill of this series is the story. 2 had a phenomenal story and 3 just added to it more. Borderlands 4 story is very "meh". Yes, we got complete open world and that is great, but what's the point when the story feels rushed and we're left with farming bosses for hours on end to just be fed something new that only lasts an hour? Makes me almost regret spending the money I did for the ultimate edition because it feels like myself and others who enjoy it just as much as I did were let down.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 23: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Of the 12 markets with a position on both sides, 5 climbed and 3 fell. The same sale, the same day, opposite directions — which is why nothing here is averaged into a single arrow, and why one sale is not a trend.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 47/day in the week to Sep 11 → 340.86/day in the week after.
One market had a chart position on both sides of this cut. One sale in one country is an anecdote — read it next to the store-wide figures below.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 41.86/day in the week to Jul 31 → 47.29/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The game is good, until you realize that the endgame is basically nonexistent. 6/10. Recommended, but you have to be really into looter shooters.
Unreal Slop
0 minutes: i'm on my seventh consecutive crash after trying to start the game after buying it today. i'm gonna keep updating this review over time, stick around for the journey. 20 minutes: had to go online to find a bypass for an issue that has been a problem for months. i just now got past the start screen and have to enter my DOB to play the game? 49 minutes: I've had a shift account for over a decade and now it won't link to my steam account, so i had to sign into 2k then shift then go to the gearbox site, get redirected back to 2k to create a 2k support account (this is different from my 2k account?) and now i have to wait till i get a response from support. don't know when i'll get to play with my account attached i guess i wait for awhile. rip playing my game today. 49 minutes and 3 hours with support: they responded twice then said they were going to see if my account was attached to another account (this wasn't the reason i submitted in my support ticket and i clarified that) now they just aren't responding. how long could it possibly take? i asked if i should start a new ticket and then i did and it just merged with my last ticket meaning i can no longer ask for help with this or other issues till they stop ignoring my support request. they just replied c: they said they just unlinked my other platform account from my shift account. this is NOT what was asked i stated what i needed help with multiple times. 20 minutes later update: after asking to speak to a manager they immediately found a solution to my problem. i tried to play the game at 7am and now its 10:51, i can finally select a character c: yay
If you're into borderlands then you'll probably like 4. Combat is as good as it's ever been but the open world design isn't quite what I thought it would be.
Still not optimized Cant run 60 FPS on 1080P with 3060 and i7
Does it scratch the borderlands itch? Yeah. Is it souless and bland, absolutely. Solid gunplay, open world is stupid for borderlands, like what are we doing here guys? Unoptimized to hell. Buy it half price if at all. DO NOT BUY THE DLC
Love the game and the DLC content that has been released, however the grind for usable weapons in endgame is ridiculous. I am ok with a grind and I don't need a perfect roll, but i've spent hours and hours grinding weapons at UVH5-UVH7 and all I find is low dps garbage that is less than half of the dps of the 4 gomie assault rifles I have equipped (its the only gun the game has given me that synergizes with my Amon melee build). It's gotten to the point where I started playing with a mod that guarantees a drop after a boss kill and honestly it hasn't even made a difference. So I ask Gearbox, please raise the dps floor of legendries, make them roll with element more often, make them drop more often at UVH7 (a 1/5 chance for most is terrible for bosses like brain Zane), and also buff more legendries to be endgame viable so that there is some variety). I want to play your game but right not my gameplay loop is consisting of killing the same boss all night long just to get a gun that has less than half the base damage of rolls posted online and never rolls with element. I didn't mention licensed parts in this review because i think they're a great idea, but with so many rng factors in they just add to an already frustrating grind.
