Boomerang Jack

I don't play a ton of ARPGS, but damn this one is genuinely fun. There's other mechanics (kick, dash, etc.) you can use aside from your main boomerang attack, and all of them synergize really well together. Nothing feels unnecessary, and I felt like I could put some actual strategy into my attacks, which I really like in a game like this. Some of the attack patterns can get a little frustrating, especially with lots of enemies on screen, but it made me frustrated in a "I want to get better" way instead of a "I want to quit" way lol. Would be awesome to possibly have more boomerang skills in the future too. Overall, would definitely recommend for just a pure, satisfying ARPG experience. Really nice one

A very old school 2000s feel with a lot of chaos and fun They don't make them like they used to anymore, but this captures the nostalgia of waking up to play flash games on saturday morning

Really fun hack and slash type game, with fast-paced combat, and a quick moving story. The dialogue is definitely on the funny side, and overall the game is a blast to pick up and play!

A fun gameplay loop with easy enough mechanics but don't be fooled, it can be challenging in certain areas. Music and art direction are lovely and give a nice cozy vibe while you're hacking and slashing pirates, sorcerers, and more. A genuine good time all around

I didn’t expect much when I picked this up, but it turned out to be a really pleasant surprise. It’s funny, fairly relaxing on normal difficulty, and offers a nice sense of progression. The visuals have a simple, old-school charm, yet the game still manages to introduce a good variety of mechanics. There are some minor bugs, and it could definitely use a bit more optimization, but overall I’m happy with the experience - especially at a sale price. I’ll definitely be playing more!

This game is very fun to play! It's a fast paced ARPG with a unique weapon mechanic of the boomerang. The pirate theme of this game is fantastic. Having enjoyed games like The Secret of Monkey Island, this is a must play of fans of that genre. The upgrade system was a little confusing, overall though very well done game! 10/10 Must Play!

It brought back a wave of nostalgia—like I’d stepped back in time just to enjoy a game and worry about nothing else.
