About
Book of Travels is a serene RPG adventure that sets you adrift in a fairytale world without the restraints of linear missions and plotlines.
Book of Travels is all about the journey, not the destination. Explore the wilds and visit the cities of the Braided Shore peninsula. Wander deep into the layers of this hand-drawn world, stumble upon its hidden places or unravel its many mysteries. There is no overarching goal and no real beginning or end.

Take note: This is a game for wayfinders and wanderers and your route is not pre-destined. Instead, it will be up to you to play in your own style and to shape your own journey. Whichever way you choose to travel, you’ll soon be adding your own chapters to Book of Travels.

Reviews
While I get the sentiment of those who bought it before and got disappointed by abrupt EOL, I will review this game for what it is. This game is magical. You are a dandelion blowing in the wind, seeing the sights, exploring the secrets, meeting new people and just vibing out. It's mostly an exploration game with little to no guidance and deliberate choices to make the game slow and somewhat tedious. It's hard to describe without spoiling, but the game compels you to take it slow and rewards you with new discoveries every time. This is the kind of game where experiencing it with as little knowledge as possible is the best way, and opening up a wiki will absolutely ruin everything good this game has to offer. Use the in game journal, document stuff and discover quest and secrets hidden in conversation or the environment. The unfinished nature of it, the loneliness that come form playing what was supposed to be with others and the mystery vibe of the game itself created what is one of the most unique gaming experiences I've had. Once I started to lose the magic and tried grinding for achievements I had to stop myself and let it rest, or it would taint the whole thing. Sure, it's very much a shame that this is how it ended, but even this glass half full you will find refreshing if you come with the right expectations.
