I really enjoy small indie puzzle games. I really like low-poly graphics. So, I thought this one would be a fun little game but this title can barely be called a game. The description is deceptive AF! “Help the locals solve their problems” – There are 4 People you can “talk” with. Well, It’s more like they have a one line Text for you. And 1 of those 4 people has a “problem”. “find a mysterious book” – It’s in the library. And you know it from the beginning. “In the game you will find a variety of puzzles” – No, you won’t. There are 5 puzzles and you can barely call them puzzles. The solutions are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ obvious. “interesting tasks” – No. There is *literally* nothing interesting in those 5 tasks. Find 1 item and solve 4 codes. “a mysterious story” – Wait… you call those 10 lines of text a 5yr old could write a story? “that you will not forget for a long time” – there is no story to begin with. “Embark on an exciting journey and see where it leads you!” – There is no journey! There are 4 People and 5 Buildings. That’s it. All on one road. You can not move freely by navigating with WSAD or something like that. You have arrows to click at for entering a building. You can not interact with anything else than the “puzzles” or people. I finished the “game” within 15 minutes. There is one collectible. It’s so obvious you cannot miss it’s pieces unless your display resolution is not a standard one and the FOV gets cut off so you don’t see everything. That’s why I have a record of over an hour for this game. Got my first steam refund.
I played this game for less than 20 minutes - and that is because of painfully slow cutscenes. All in all this game has five - 5 (!) - puzzles, which can not even be called true puzzles if you ask me. I would recommend this game if it was longer - waaaay longer that is. The graphics are refreshing, but the mechanics and the overall gameplay just lack any fun. It has the same enjoyment of moving like those old escape room games - only those made up for it with challenging puzzles This obviously is made by someone who has just started developing, and don't get me wrong, I like the small bits of game that are to be found here. But this just is not enough to warrant a thumbs up. Don't buy this game, maybe wait for the next one by Enoops - provided it is a bit more challenging and longer!
DA simple avec des casse-têtes accessibles, pas de français
interesting and understandable story for one evening, pleasant design, pleasing to the eye
pleasantly fast and with taste +1 in the library of passed games!

Book of Shadows is quite an addicting game. Here you will need to solve quite interesting puzzles and help the locals to advance further in your task. I was very pleased with the variability of the game. Also, cool graphics and good music will not let you get bored. Recommend.

With a fairly simple plot, the dark wizard searches for the dark book of shadows. Along the way, he comes across problems that need to be solved. I wish the game more levels, more online, more budget and time to develop.
Nice little game! It's a short one but a good one to play when you are bored..
