absolutely insane graphics compared to standalone and beatufiul story mode, arenas, sandbox too. you MUST get it
Janky and a bit buggy at times but overall it's a lot of fun and a good way to introduce yourself to VR. Tutorial is fun and is effective at showing you how to play the game as well as introduce you to the game's story. Gunplay is fun. Moving around and looking at everything is fun. Melee is good. Story is... serviceable. It's kinda just there to push the game along, which is fine, and it doesn't interfere. Now maybe it's because it's VR in general, but picking up, moving objects, trying to break objects, and climbing, while fun, can be pretty jank at times. I did get frustrated at times especially trying to climb. The good news is often there are several ways to deal with different parts of the game typically, so you aren't pigeonholed to do things the hard way. A significant criticism is that near the end of the game there are just flat out NO save points after a certain point. And I'm wondering if I died, would I have to do ALL THAT WORK over again. Not sure but I'm glad I didn't find out. There might at least have been a checkpoint system at that point, but again, I'd rather not have found out. Otherwise yea, very much worth it for a VR game. I played it on a HTC Vive Pro 2 with Valve Index Controllers.
