About
Bonelords is a Rogue-like, Souls-like, Terraria-like wave defense game, with an emphasis on combat & character build choices. Defend the mystical Fort Platz as you teleport across the lands of Speghiem. Each run is unique in this rogue-like experience!
Play and grow your character to play the way you want. Eight different starting classes keep each run different from the start! Level up your character's stats in whatever way you see fit - each stat is multipurpose. Pick your relics after each great enemy defeated to give you a major, unique boost in power (and believe me, you will need it)! No two characters are the same!

Dodge to move and gain invulnerability frames! Hit enemy attacks with your own to deflect & clank with theirs! Break down enemy poise to stagger them and go in for the kill! Every weapon has both a regular attack and a special attack, allowing for a wide variety of skill expression! Even dodge into the ground to wavedash and gain massive speed - we have it all!
Build your own defenses to stop the hordes. Put up walls and lay traps to delay and destroy the enemy! But beware; for the enemy will tear at your defenses from the ground up! If your structures weaken and crumble, the enemy (and yourself) will get crushed under it's weight!
Pass down attributes, items, and relics by inheriting the marrow of your previous champions! Build your list of legacies & train better parents, so that you can overcome even steeper obstacles!
Don't go it alone! Split screen multi-player with up to four other players. Remote play and let your friends in as well, at any distance, and on one copy of the game!

This game changed my life. Bonelords has made me closer with my friends and family. It has even repaired my relationship with my ex-wife. I have become 10x smarter after playing Bonelords, I am now a chess grandmaster and can do calculus in my head. After playing Bonelords I have achieved Nirvana. I am currently typing with my mind, in heaven, sitting next to Jesus who I just gifted a copy of the game. He loved it by the way. Anyways, buy Bonelords. NOW!
Wish i could give a neutral recommendation, but I'm going to put it at a no rather than a yes. i have no comment to make on the art style because as the dev said it's his first time doing pixel art and i really really respect that he made all of the graphics for the game himself, i think its very nice for what it is. The game itself is pretty fun the first time you play it, but past that, runs all feel pretty samey - you shoot for the same weapons and same stuff every time for each of the classes. the combat and bosses don't feel amazing, and the base building is pretty unintuitive. also not a fan of the ai vtuber in the intro. getting more specific into the base building aspect of the game, the idea of building up your keep and almost building it as a tower defense type of game is really cool but its executed poorly. i'd love to see it expanded upon and improved further. despite the game marketed as being terraria-like, the only real similarity is the graphical style. theres no progressing weapon or armor upgrades through crafting, the only way to get weapon upgrades, blocks, and defenses for your base is by making purchases between waves and as drops from enemies with nearly no rhyme or reason. one of the positives i really enjoy, though, is the legacy system. very cool that your characters will pass down their best traits to your next characters. this game has a lot of good ideas and the dev is very clearly passionate about it and i really respect that, but anything past the first run just doesn't feel very fun. for a game that is designed around replayability, that's not grat, which is why i'd love a neutral review instead of a straight yes or no recommendation.
Pretty fun, I got this game specifically bacause the ad on YouTube included the phrase: "Terraria-like"
Bonelords is a 2025 psychological horror game developed by Z0 Game Studios. The gameplay consists of defending your base from sequentially more difficult waves of enemies, with breaks between levels being punctuated by boss fights. Right away when booting up the game you know what you are in for with its amateur art style and immediately clear amateur game design. But that’s okay, the game does not want you to take it seriously, and embraces it with useless UI options and compressed tutorials consisting of a live action wizard explaining in detail how every key works, right down to the jump button. The main gameplay loop is solid, only held back by how long and drawn out some waves can feel. One notable mechanic that the game brings to the table is Poise, the ability to stun enemies if hit enough, giving players an opportunity to beat down tougher enemies and bosses. The mechanic is satisfying to trigger and take advantage of, though it can be a bit easy to activate for some enemies. The bosses are serviceable for what the game is, and do a good job intimidating the player more than they are actually difficult. The game also features a large variety of different weapons, some which are genuinely fun to use. Though a majority of these are severely outclassed by some exceptional ones, and it can be hard to experiment due to how expensive some of them cost. Overall Bonelords’ gameplay is surprisingly decent for what it is, and despite its flaws, the average person can probably get a couple chuckles out of it.
this game is peak play it. this game is a gem of a game 10/10
Really fun game, most of the big problems of the game arent that bad, more bosses would be nice though
Found the game through the ads on insta, the devs sillyness makes it fun. Its light and fun, doesnt require too much brainpower, great for almost idling on. Looking forward to more content being added down the line. Needs some balancing though, the wyvernic greatsword is straight up Op compared to every other melee attack. Needs a wiki too for all the upgrades you get after beating a boss. Will we see lore implemented in the future too?
The game removes my bindings every time I start a new game
this is pretty peak, loved the wizard tutorial :)
Wizards made this and the magic is bonelicious.
