About

From the creators of Rise of the Triad and legendary game maker 3D Realms comes Bombshell, an action shooter game. Bomb disposal technician turned mercenary for hire, Shelly "Bombshell" Harrison must strong-arm her way across 4 planets in an Unreal Engine-powered galactic adventure to rescue the president from an apocalyptic alien threat. With out-of-this-world enemies, a never-before-seen arsenal of devastating weaponry and a host of genre-crossing mechanics, Bombshell is set to blow you away.

Heavy Handed
Fierce finishing moves and interactive environments make Bombshell as dynamic as she is deadly.
Isometric Ingenuity
Brilliantly brutal isometric shooting layered with some classic role-playing mechanics, including experience points, upgrades, side quests, and non-linear levels. All with a twist of first-person shooter mechanics.

A bit rough, but there’s something fun about the over-the-top action. Feels like a 90s throwback with modern flair.
This game is kind of janky, but i knew that going in. It's a really fun shooter with some good progression. The story is the right kind of action-hero corny.
Game is worth if if you get it form a cdkey site i got it for 5$ and it was so worth it!!! play in Third Person Mode its WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better
Review is more mixed but I did enjoy it so don't want to rate it down. The character of Bombshell is good I look forward to trying out Ion Fury soon and hope to see more of her. The graphics are great, gameplay is simple to pick up and play albeit the overall runtime was a bit long for this type of game. Negatives are some bugs later on getting stuck in the environment some scripted events failed to load causing me to restart the level. Also weird oversight with the weapon naming. The Ion Fury was renamed because of Iron Maiden threatening with legal action but they forgot to change the name in some parts same for another gun The electrocuter had a different name on certain screens. Game didn't crash but if you have an Nvidia card do not turn on any of the Nvidia Gameworks graphics features. I have played this game twice. Once on a 2060 and second on a 4090 and the "special" Nvidia graphics options bring the framerate down. If interested I'd recommend picking it up on sale.

Way too long and boring
honestly not bad, pretty enjoyable.
Fundamentally flawed
This game is a mess. The basic design as a whole is not well thought out. It’s a twin stick shooter with some ARPG elements added. Unfortunately, the combat is unsatisfying and unbalanced. Enemies are too spongy, except you use the one overpowered gun with unlimited ammo, which oneshot-kills almost everything. Pick your poison: slog through too large health bars or breeze through the levels without any challenge at all. Whatever you do, it’s no fun. Most enemies will attack you from off-screen because the camera is too close to the character. This makes you scan the minimap constantly in order to shoot the enemies first. The level design is another big flaw. After the first level all locations are needlessly big, boring and consist of the same couple of assets copied and pasted ad nauseum. Enemies are placed without any sense of rhythm or structure. Side quests are a huge annoyance because you have to backtrack quite a lot through the unenjoyable locations. To add insult to injury, there are a lot of bugs. Here are some I experienced: - Got stuck in the geometry - Enemies not moving, invincible - Fell through the floor - One weapon glitched out and was not available until another playthrough - Several achievements are bugged (according to reports at the steam forum for most of the players) If you want to play it out of curiosity, get it for like 5 bucks. Honestly, it's absolutely not worth more than that.
Prosta, niezbyt ciekawa rozgrywka. Z tego typu gier lepiej sięgnąć po Crimsonland 4/10
Bombshell is a decent twin stick shooter. The game has a fun roster of weapons, all of which you can upgrade and all feel good to use as well. Levels are are open with a few side quests within them to give you boost to your xp to level up. The game's story is simple but entertaining and Shelly is a cool protagonist. Game took me just over 7 hours to get through and there is also a New Game + option for those that wish to play through again with their current level and upgrades. I did encounter a few non game breaking bugs through out my playthrough such as getting stuck on things and having to jiggle my self out of them or having things not spawning correctly and having to reload a checkpoint to fix the problem and also the execution animations sometimes look a bit jank but again nothing too game breaking. Overall I recommend this game if you can get it for cheap via steam key as I feel the current asking price is way too much and definitely feel that it would be better at around the £10-£15 price point.
