About
Bob Saves the Princess is a Roguelite about controlling the roguelite elements themselves.
Bob heard the Princess had gone missing and went to look for her, meanwhile the Princess snuck into the depths of the Tempus dungeon and stole a time controlling artifact. You play as the Princess who needs Bob to reach the last floor alive and well equipped to defeat the previous owner of that artifact.
Roll for items, control the path, help out in battles, summon helpers and keep Bob alive all while he can't stop moving from room to room facing numerous enemies, going deeper and deeper in the dungeon, finding better treasures, but facing more powerful foes.

Ok this was a surprise hit. The game unfortunately frontloads a lot of the tutorial which may put some people off but its worth sitting through. The game's mechanics are genuinely fun. Worth the price.
Bob Saves the Princess honestly surprised me. The idea of not directly controlling the hero, but instead helping by building the path, choosing items and rooms, and supporting battles, gives the roguelite formula a really fresh twist. Runs are quick, tense in a good way, and it always makes you want to try again because even small choices can change the outcome. You can still tell it is in development, especially with balance and variety, but the core idea is already very strong and creative. The gameplay loop is fun, original, and mixes strategy with resource management really well. If you enjoy indie roguelites with different ideas, this is definitely worth checking out. I’m excited to see how the game grows with future updates.
