I bought this a long time ago and really liked it back then. The game had a huge freeroam map with tons of challenges and hidden gear boxes to find. Sadly, I had to refund it because it didn’t run very well on my PC at the time. Yesterday I found the game again, bought it instantly, and installed it right away. I was super hyped, thinking about how good it must be nowadays. But honestly, I got disappointed pretty fast. All the gear is already unlocked now, there are no challenges left, and those challenges actually helped a lot with learning tricks and getting better at the game overall. The worst part is that the big freeroam map is gone too, so there’s basically nothing to do except tricks. Now it’s just a few bmx parks to mess around in, and those get boring really fast. Yeah, there might be mods for the game, but I still wouldn’t buy it again for the same price in its current state.

It's an incomplete game but the custom maps made by the community made the price somewhat fair. Now, there's a bunch of new content and a lot of it is behind a paywall. The price is too high at almost $20 for some of these maps.

Overall game is pretty decent, some animations are a bit jank but its nothing to be upset about. Character customization is broken and doesnt really work but theres some presets you can just chuck on. BMX customization is honestly really good, heaps and heaps of options. Modding the game (custom maps) is supported and is honestly super super easy. Tricks are relatively simple and easy, maps feel good and performance is pretty good. I probably wouldn't say its worth $30 but i'd pay half for sure.
