Took me right back to playing Myst as a teenager. Wish I could experience each reveal for the first time, again

Even if you know how to solve a puzzle you may spend multiple hourse just to get lucky and get the right combination of rooms and items to appear. I mean, I spent two hours just trying to get three rooms to appear among which should have been a shop that also had to have an item I needed to solve the puzzle. Very frustrating that with each reset you have to wait for slow loading screens hidden behind transitions.

Original. That's it. I don't like the story, I don't like the characters, and I especially hate the whole [spoiler] “poor rich people oppressed by the scary red censors” and the “good rich people helping the oppressed”.[/spoiler] The puzzles aren't nearly as interconnected as the game wants you to believe, and they're orders of magnitude easier than the game wants you to feel they are. All of this is padded with enormous stretches of waiting between hypothesis -> testing, which at some point stops feeling like a “bold design gamble” and lands as a bad one. Making me solve the same simple puzzle 30+ times after I've already demonstrated 30 times that I understand it is almost insulting. Escalate the puzzle until you've exhausted the idea if you want, but don't make me repeat the same operation forever. Mid game. Far less “big brain” than it desperately wants to make you feel.

I hope this isn't a political statement.

Most of the puzzles are *really* good. I really don't like puzzles that are difficult by being vague. The puzzles in this game feel impossible at first, but then once you have a flash of insight, it's obvious you've found the correct answer even before the game gives you confirmation.
