Bloody Rally Show, developed and published by Kodo Linija, is an adrenaline-fueled top-down racing game that seamlessly blends fast-paced arcade racing with vehicular combat and roguelike progression elements. Set in a dystopian future where racing is more than just a sport—it's a brutal bloodsport—the game throws players into chaotic circuits filled with hazards, aggressive opponents, and a relentless push for survival. From the moment you start racing, the intensity is palpable, as the combination of speed, combat, and environmental dangers demands quick reflexes and strategic thinking to stay ahead. The gameplay centers around dynamic races that can feature up to 100 racers, creating a vibrant and chaotic field where both skill and cunning are necessary to prevail. Players must master a physics-based car handling system that balances arcade-style accessibility with enough depth to allow for thrilling drifts, boosts, and tight cornering. The tracks themselves are loaded with a variety of environmental hazards—oil slicks, ice patches, explosive barrels, and ramps—that not only test your driving prowess but also provide opportunities to sabotage rivals. Weapon zones scattered throughout the tracks add an extra layer of strategy, letting players arm their cars with offensive and defensive capabilities that can turn the tide of the race in an instant. One of the most compelling aspects of Bloody Rally Show is its roguelike campaign structure, where procedurally generated tracks and events ensure that each race feels fresh and unpredictable. This dynamic approach to content keeps players engaged over the long haul, as no two playthroughs offer the exact same challenges or layouts. The campaign also weaves in a dystopian narrative that unfolds through AI-generated dialogue and mission objectives, immersing players in a gritty world where every race matters not just for glory but for survival. Beyond the single-player experience, the game supports local multiplayer for up to four players in split-screen mode, making it an excellent choice for friends looking to engage in competitive and chaotic racing sessions together. Customization is another key feature that enhances the depth of Bloody Rally Show. Players can upgrade their vehicles to improve performance or tweak handling, tailoring their cars to fit individual racing styles and strategies. Cosmetic options allow racers to personalize their machines, adding a sense of identity and flair amid the mayhem. Moreover, the inclusion of a track editor empowers players to design and share their own circuits through the Steam Workshop, fostering a strong community-driven ecosystem. This user-generated content extends the game’s replayability significantly, offering endless new challenges and creative variations for players to enjoy. Visually, the game embraces a stylized pixel-art aesthetic that fits perfectly with its fast-paced and gritty atmosphere. The diverse environments range from neon-lit urban streets to rugged rural backdrops, each packed with detailed textures and interactive elements that add to the chaotic racing experience. The soundtrack complements the action with a high-energy, adrenaline-pumping score that enhances the overall immersion, driving players to push harder and faster as they vie for first place. In summary, Bloody Rally Show is a standout title in the indie racing genre that combines thrilling racing mechanics, intense vehicular combat, and a robust roguelike progression system. Its procedural track generation and multiplayer capabilities keep the gameplay exciting and unpredictable, while the customization and track editor offer a personal touch and community engagement. Despite its pixel-art style and somewhat simple visuals compared to AAA titles, the game’s focus on exhilarating gameplay and chaotic fun makes it a must-play for fans of action-packed racing games. Whether you're diving in solo or battling friends locally, Bloody Rally Show delivers a relentless, high-energy racing experience that keeps you coming back for more. Rating: 8/10
It's pretty mid. It's fun in a way that only top-down rally games could be, but I'm not a huge fan of the Running Man schtick. If it was just a pure rally sim I'd probably play it more.
Gutted that this game flew under my radar completely when it came out, only discovered it yesterday and it's a blast! Mechanically tight and the map generation is on point. It's like Micro-Machines meets vigilante. Well worth the asking price in the summer sale. This game should have had more traction on release. Sad to see it's a sleeper hit, though a game that's worthy of a spot in my library for sure.
I'm trying to figure out the psychology of the fans. Not you guys, but the little people in the game. They really like the Bloody Rally Show so they go to see the Bloody Rally Show in person. By doing so, they likely get smeared on the asphalt by this top-down bad driving simulator. This is what makes the show bloody, fans spraying arterial blood so they can be part of the production. Are they suicidal? Maybe they don't think they'll be the ones who get run over? Well anyhow, that's the game. This is neither Carmaggedon nor Twisted Metal. Sure there is a bit of a story and car customization, but it really comes down to do you like drifting all over the roads making people splat. I thought, hey, that's me! I might be the guy who likes drifting and killing folks! But I tired rather quickly of the car physics, and entrails can only entertain me for so long.
It's a decently executed top-down racer in a very busy genre, where the stand-out feature is basically anarchy, both in the storyline and the game handling. For good or bad. If you're old enough you'll love the Carmageddon vibes of the purposeful (and useful) desctruction of human matter while drifting, and hoping, for a decent race result. The game shamelessly tells you, frequently, that it is unfair....and it often is. Not necessarily in a bad way, but the behaviour of other cars and entities in the game do mean that you can probably never quite master it, although you can certainly enjoy it - as long as you get what it's trying to do to you. Otherwise, you could also call it frustrating at times. But there's no doubting the effort and thought that went in to making this fun, top-down, nihilistic racer, Definite thumbs up if you like top-downs and uncontrollable outcomes.
It needs an option to go above 100% UI scale for the Steam Deck, but otherwise it's great fun! I really like the procedurally generated tracks.
Awesome fun as a solo game. Lots of vehicles and upgrades, drifting feels very nice, bonkers fun all round.
An amazingly fun and simple game. Plays similar to the old classics like Death Rally or Super Off Road. The drifting and combat are super fun and rewarding when you're able to drift a curve perfectly or land a long-distance missile shot on another car. There's a lot of randomness built into the game: Opponents can "cheat" and get weapons on a no-weapons event, a helicopter can fly over and randomly shoot people, a rogue car can target you without actually competing in the race. This doesn't take the fun out of the game, though. In campaign mode, there are a LOT of races, so your goal is to win out over a long period of time. You won't win every single race once you learn the game, but you can improve your average over time. The game plays very quickly with short races, few cut scenes, and little downtime. It's hard to stop playing once you start it up. Highly recommended, especially on sale.
Лучше чем Carmageddon: Rogue ♥♥♥♥
Game starts kind of fun but gets annoying eventually. There's also not much depth to it so after playing for an hour you're doing the same thing all over again, but the more you progress the more the ground is slippery and the more likely you're to be sent completely off track when a CPU owned car touches you. Might be good as multiplayer but I only played it by myself.
