Těžce nedoceněná gejma, nejlepší pve Arena co jsem kdy hrál.
Bloodsports.TV, developed by Toadman Interactive and Fatshark and published by Fatshark, is a cooperative arena game that blends elements of MOBA-style character design with wave-based survival gameplay. Rather than focusing on direct player-versus-player competition, it shifts the emphasis toward teamwork, positioning players as gladiators in a deadly televised spectacle where survival depends on coordination and adaptability. This hybrid approach gives the game a distinctive identity, even if it doesn’t fully escape some of the limitations that come with its design. The core gameplay revolves around defending a central objective while enduring increasingly difficult waves of enemies. Players choose from a roster of characters, each designed around specific roles such as damage output, defense, or support. Matches unfold in rounds, with short pauses between them that allow teams to prepare, adjust strategies, and acquire upgrades before the next assault begins. As waves progress, the intensity ramps up steadily, culminating in boss encounters that require tighter coordination and more deliberate use of abilities. This structure creates a satisfying cycle of preparation and execution, where success is determined as much by teamwork as by individual performance. Combat is fast and often chaotic, with enemies flooding the arena and forcing players to constantly reposition and react. The game rewards awareness and quick decision-making, especially when managing multiple threats at once. Each character’s abilities are designed to complement others, encouraging players to think in terms of synergy rather than isolated play. When a team works well together—balancing offense, defense, and support—the experience can feel dynamic and rewarding, particularly during high-pressure moments when coordination makes the difference between success and failure. Progression is handled through a system that encourages experimentation rather than straightforward leveling. Instead of traditional experience-based growth, players unlock bonuses and enhancements by completing specific challenges during gameplay. This approach pushes players to explore different characters and playstyles, adding a layer of variety to the overall experience. However, it can also feel somewhat restrictive or repetitive, as certain unlocks require very specific actions that may not align naturally with how players prefer to play. Visually, the game adopts a stylized presentation that helps maintain clarity during its busiest moments. The arenas are designed to support readability, even when filled with enemies and overlapping effects. The tone leans into exaggerated violence and dark humor, framing the action as a form of entertainment within its fictional world. While this aesthetic adds personality, it doesn’t always translate into lasting visual distinction, and some elements can feel repetitive over time. Despite its strengths, Bloodsports.TV faces challenges in maintaining long-term engagement. The core gameplay loop, while enjoyable, doesn’t evolve significantly as players progress. Enemy types and scenarios begin to feel familiar, and the limited number of maps and modes can make extended play sessions feel repetitive. The experience is clearly designed with cooperative play in mind, and while solo play is possible, it lacks the same level of excitement and strategic depth. This reliance on multiplayer becomes more noticeable when it’s difficult to find active players, which can impact the overall experience. There are also smaller issues that affect the game’s polish. Repetitive audio cues, occasional interface clutter, and a somewhat limited roster of characters can detract from immersion over time. While none of these elements are major flaws individually, they contribute to a sense that the game could have benefited from further refinement and expansion. Ultimately, Bloodsports.TV is a solid and occasionally engaging blend of cooperative survival and arena-based gameplay. It delivers its best moments when played with a coordinated team, offering bursts of intense action and satisfying teamwork. However, its limited variety and reliance on multiplayer prevent it from achieving lasting depth. It stands as an interesting experiment that succeeds in short sessions but struggles to maintain its appeal over the long term. Rating: 7/10
I got the 5 pack while it was on sale for me and my mates and it was actually a ton of fun, I love PvE moba type games and custom game modes in dota 2 that are PvE and quite honestly theres so much potential in the genre, this game is simple, but fun, the mechanics and controls are smooth, the latency feels crisp with no lag, there's nothing I find crazy innovative or anything, but everything the game has is well made and polished with a ton of replayability. Definitely an easy buy while on sale.
борда для бедных :(
Boring.
4/5 star
This has been a great game, I can see the downsides with requiring more players and teamwork at higher difficulties if you don't have friends that be rough but this game was honestly an insane purchase for $1. I bought 5 copies for my friends for $2.50 total and I was actually disheartened to learn this game is 10 years old and likely may never see a sequel or anything like it. I think the developer did a great job and its worth a try, I wish i'd known about it sooner and maybe it'd gotten more popularity.
