Great game. Really fun and addictive whilst being easy to pick up.
Nice little gladiator sim with retro graphics. You should definitely give this game a try.
I've tried all the DOSMan games now and sadly this is the first one I didn't enjoy. Melee really doesn't work too well in this engine. So I'm regularly just poking VERY tanky enemies and Michael Jackson moonwalking everywhere. There's no block, parry or dodge, just poke, retreat, poke, retreat.
Period-appropriate, pixelated pugilists pummel and pierce their peers to a pulp, perversely portrayed from a player’s perspective. The perfect pursuit for a post-work punch-out!
Great combat, hilarious character writing, and an overall good time!
Love the whole DSG catalog, and this is no exception. It felt different enough to all the others that have come previously while still having a familiar melee combat style that I was accustomed to from previous titles. I was shocked just how funny some of the dialogue and environmental details were. The slight differences of what weapons and fights you can participate in was also cool. I got all but one of the achievements but I think the last one is bugged, I posted about it and if the Dev updates/fixes that (or just tells me I am wrong and I missed something which is possible!) so I can get 100% I will update this post as well to make note of that. Edit: Dev pushed an update that addressed issues I and other's had with achievement or completion and it fixed the problem!
Good mix of Boomer Shooter and Arena Fighter mechanics
I agree with Kellbreaker. Good for a couple of hours of fun.
Play tested during development, and seeing this finally release just puts a smile on my face. It's arcadey fun with multiple paths and small things to discover between matches. Perfect quick fun after a long day at work or school, when you don't feel like diving into something deep and too time consuming. We need more games like this.
