Great experience. Very focused on doing nothing but telling a story. There's little exploration, no puzzles, just a neat story. Not sure it's a story I understood but I was engaged all the same. That being said, the game is only 20 minutes in length. I enjoyed those 20 minutes very much, but I'm still not sure it's really worth the asking price. That might just be me being cheap. I could go through the story again and hunt for some of the achievements I didn't get, and I will, but I doubt the playtime would exceed an hour. But hey, perhaps a high quality focused experience is better than unnecessary padding from time to time. Great little short story, but be aware that short will be a common descriptor for this game.

A short, atmospheric horror experience. Blood Permafrost doesn’t aim to be deep or long, but it delivers a quick, snowy horror trip with some eerie moments and solid ambience. It works best when you don’t overthink it ▶️ Full playthrough + commentary here: [https://youtu.be/xFQK-6PqbaE]
Blood Rifleman (Blood Permafrost)

Positives:
+ Very good idea + Nice graphics + Fantastic sounds and music + The storytelling + Unsettling and creepy atmosphere + The hidden messages and deeper meaning + 2 different endings + Achievements + Level select (after finishing one ending)
Negatives:
- You are forced to look certain ways sometimes - The riflemans voice sounds a tad silly - No FOV-adjuster - You cant remove the wobbly camera movement (nausea alert!) - No explainations or hints on how to get to the bad ending (see below) - Extremely short (lasts for about 0,5-1 hour)
Conclusion:
Wow, Dylan know how to make atmospheric games. This one is both deep, creepy but very short. And there is a more lot going on under the surface. So should you play it? Absolutely!
Total Score: 7.5/10
How to get to the bad ending (and some of the achievements) : - Follow the usual path in the bunker till you get to the part where the rope snaps - First go back through the vents into the dark room with the lever and look through the big window in front of you to see a strange creature (A Visitor achivement) - Go back and jump several times in a row down the hole where the rope snapped before (you will hear a higher pitched sound for each time) - Eventually you get to another place where you have to options: - Either go through the opening to the right (Always With You achivement) or jump down the hole to the left (The Dark Path achievement). - Do both, and start with the opening to the right. - Then jump down the hole to the left and go through the exit door and follow the path to get to the bad ending (Gone achievement).
I don't read the descriptions half the time before I buy a game. just look at the pictures or trailer. So at one point I was thinking. "If this game ended right now, it was still totally worth it." 2 minutes later it ended. So good. Got the true ending on first playthrough. A short but definite must play. Nice set of extras that unlock when completed. Excellent job. 10/10
A short but immersive and meaningful little game. The bad ending sequence made me uuuuuuncomfortable. A good time for a good price!
Great, short indie walking sim. I enjoyed it. Good for achievement hunters.
The game is pretty short. I managed to complete it. Got stuck near the beginning but was smooth sailin' after. I wouldnt mind playin'; future games from the dev. Gameplay Impressions: https://youtu.be/2V03uLSRWpg
I enjoyed how cinematic this was. However, the story of this game went completely over my head and that seems to be a common reaction with most of my audience that watched me play this game as well.
Absolutely recommend, 100%! Nothing more to add. This was something else entirely, way beyond just a horror game...
