Wish I could give a neutral reaction on this. Consider it a tentative recc!
The Good (pros and positives)
-Sexy girls with hints of bisexuality for them. As a bisexual girl myself, I liked the way the girls interacted.
-Rather than sexism like some b*tch might assume, it's actually just got a theme of BDSM fems*b going with the ladies, which is nice to see since most guys are more into femd*m and Ms*b. One of them is even explicitly a switch, being a s*b to the male protag but a d*mme to another girl in the party. Like, the BDSM themes are so clear, you'd have to be blind to think this is misogyny and not femsub...
-While they seem shallow at first, the characters have more depth than they first appear, including a huge twist with the protagonist at the end of the game.
-Lots of big boobs and nudity! Yum!
-Best Girl!Laura is a walking dream. She has to give up her bikini to Nancy, and a lot of the character dialogue makes a play at referencing and even prolonging her nudity despite her protests. For someone with the k*nks I have, it was VERY gratifying to see Laura spend the game as a reluctant nudist. <3
-If you're the type of guy who prefers insecure waifus who can't believe a guy like you would notice her, Laura, Alison, and Karine have you covered. It's really cute seeing them self-deprecate when Gary shows them love. <3
The Bad (cons and negatives)
-While the characters definitely have more depth than they first appear to have, it seems scratching the surface of the true depth they have at times.
-While not excessively so, the characters can seem too harsh with each other... Some clearer indicators of their feelings and thoughts would've helped in humanizing them.
-This zombie apocalypse brings in demons from hell and aliens in the 11th hour... It just felt kind of jarring to go from zombies to demons and aliens that late.
-You can get three endings for each girl. Girlfriend, Sl*ve, and Wife (neutral, k*nky, romantic). In general, the Wife ending for each girl is the most "happy" for all involved, but even then, most of the endings have at least one of the two (the MC or the girl he picked) unhappy with some part of the relationship, with only a couple of the 24 endings being truly satisfying relationships for both parties involved. But the endings are just brief paragraphs and a single CG and character sprite, so it seems a bit of an underwhelming completion reward.
-No harem ending. #SadTimes XD
-The game can be a bit unreasonably punishing at times.
-Some of the equipment restrictions on who can equip what are... just bizarre and seemingly arbitrary.
-You have to unlock the ability to Interact with a girl AFTER you recruit her. For some of them, this "Interact Unlock" event is VERY specific and easily missable, either because you didn't check the background object required or because you did but picked the wrong dialogue choice. Save often and keep multiple save files.
-Important equipment items and healing items are all hidden. ALL of them. You have to check just about every solid object to make sure you don't miss anything, and even then I was never able to find the "Helm of the Hun" item. I could understand if the game dev was going for the "RPG that has hidden items everywhere" thing, but in this case ALL the items are hidden. I spent WAY too much of my gameplay checking every single surface to make sure I don't miss any valuable equipment or healing items.
-Some of the worldbuilding is oddly vague at times. Like, it wasn't until halfway through the game that I found out that the protagonist was telling the girls the pool was closing in the opening cutscene of the game because he worked there as a lifeguard.
-In addition to some advice on game design and some tweaks to balance, the game could've done with a proofreader... It's not riddled with typos, but the dialogue reads awkwardly phrased a lot of the time.
The Ugly (neutrals, subjectives, & curiosities)
-The plot is fairly shallow, but I admit that it makes sense for survivors in a zombie apocalypse to be chasing after leads on potential fellow survivors, shelter, and rescue.
-Only three of the girls are capable of getting naked during the game's run. All three getting naked are at fixed points and mandatory.
-There is no sex. Just nudity and references to BDSM play. Whether this is a pro or con is up to preference. I consider it a good thing. No annoying sex scenes for me to run out of attention span on. It also means straight male players don't have to look at penis.
-A user made a pseudo-guide for the game, but while the game devs have endorsed it, they haven't stepped forward to clarify unclear things that the guide writer even says in the guide he doesn't know.
-I could never find the "Helm of the Hun" mentioned in the guide. It was said to be in the random drop box between two of the levels, but it gave me the same items every time, no matter how many times.
-WHAT THE ♥♥♥♥ DOES STAMINA DO IS IT RAW DEFENSE OR WHAT
Conclusion
All in all, the game is rough and shows a lack of refinement, but it has some bright spots so long as you pay attention. Just go in expecting a femsub BDSM experience, because for ♥♥♥♥♥ sake, stop saying the dev is misogynistic! I'm a woman involved in BDSM, how the ♥♥♥♥ is this NOT femsub to you?
