First thing: the name got me. Blood Job is such a stupidly perfect vampire pun that I bought it almost on impulse, and yeah… it works. You know exactly what you’re signing up for: vampires, blood, and the “job” part being a wink at what the game is really about.
It’s a mature visual novel with a nice little premise: you play a guy who gets turned into a vampire by accident, and now he has to figure out what he’s going to become. Not a huge epic story, not a 20-hour branching monster, but the core idea is genuinely fun, and it feels a bit more original than the usual “random horny VN with no plot”.
The writing is decent, the vibe is good, and the character art is solid. It also has something I always appreciate in this niche: a gallery / replay system that remembers what you unlocked, so you can come back later and rewatch scenes without redoing the whole thing. For collectors and “voyeurs”, that’s a real plus.
Now the downside: it’s short. Very short. I unlocked 13/13 achievements in 26 minutes. And it’s Early Access (at least at the time I played), so paying around 8€ right now is too much. This is a “good concept” that needs either more content or a lower price to feel fair.
So yes, I recommend it… but only with a big discount.
