Nada mas que decir, JUEGAZO
Blasphemous is the benchmark I compare every metroidvania to. After playing this, it's hard not to judge every other game in the genre against it. Everything just comes together so well that I genuinely struggle to find anything worth complaining about. The world is dark, beautiful, and unforgettable. Every area is packed with atmosphere, the pixel art is some of the best I've ever seen, and the enemy and boss designs are absolutely incredible. Exploration constantly rewards your curiosity, and unlocking new paths never stops feeling satisfying. The combat is weighty, challenging, and extremely rewarding once you master it. Every boss feels memorable, and the soundtrack perfectly matches the game's haunting world. But what really surprised me was the story. It's mysterious, disturbing, and fascinating at the same time. The lore is so unique that I found myself wanting to learn more about every corner of this world. Blasphemous isn't just one of my favorite metroidvanias—it's one of my favorite games, period. If you're even remotely interested in the genre, this is an absolute must-play and, in my opinion, one of the finest examples of what a metroidvania can be.
Game is good looking but unbearable clunky and floaty, it is not a hard game but it is very frustrating; any experience in the genre prior to this game will only make the aforementioned flaws all the more noticeable. Blasphemous 2 is better in ever single regard with the notable exception and downgrade from the beautiful pixel art cinematics of this game to rather cheap looking cartoon animation in the vein of classic thunder cats or masters of the universe. Save your soul the torment and just play B2
