Need more Baba Yaga themed games. Thank you.
The moment i realized i have to repeatedly grind for feathers and wood even after just 1 battle to make arrows all the time was when the game died for me. I can't be bothered running around looking for stuff to simply allow me to be able to fight. Would have kept going if it wasn't for this.
The game is VERY solid. You have to get through the first few slow hours to actually catch the vibe and understan what the game is actually going for and expecting from you. Once you grab that then it's hook, line, and sinker- impossible to pull away from. The story, writing, ambience, sound design, world, art/graphics- are top tier- with the story, writing, and voice-acting in particular to be some of the best I've encountered in any game in a while. The morality system here and the way the game tests your moral alignment and plays with your perceptions on right/wrong is incredibly well-made and almost comedic at times. On top of that the way the world reacts to your moral alignment really sells the impact it's meant to have on the game world itself. Finally, on the actual gameplay side, it's fairly "indie" so-to-speak. But in an upper-shelf sort of way- definitely decent or at the very least serviceable for the real stars of the show which are the story, gameplay, and morality progression system. I have experienced a few minor bugs related to quest tracking but they seem to have resolved themselves in the end, so all good. Verdict- must-play, must-buy. An incredible narrative-driven open world exploration/adventure RPG.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Not bad game, a bit messy at times but it gets some sympathy
Je m'ennuie
Blacktail has a rich slavic folklore which consists of many unusual creatures and stories. Also the game looks very pretty and is nice to look at and experience. Unfortunately the gameplay is not very fun, all you have to work with is bow with few arrow types and aroow shooting was done better and more enjoyable is tons of other games, it feels like slog. Exploration is tedious and after few hours I had no will to find new places and explore pretty big map - rewards for it are always the same (teeth) or none at all.
Boring Game
Blacktail is a fine game. It's clearly not the one you will reinstall from time to time, yet, it's a game that will make you live a story for about 8 hours (more or less, depends if you explore or not). It is quite a repetitive game since you'll basically do the same thing over and over : collect materials, craft arrows, shoot arrows at the ennemies, find materials, watch a cinematic, fight a boss, watch another cinematic... Yet it didn't bother me. It's not a game which has a story only because it needed it, the main point is the story, the gameplay after. And I must say, it's a great one. I would recommend it only if you play for the story. Otherwise, you might consider other games.
Great game.
