Bizarre Barber

Bizarre Barber is such a singularly unique and strange combination of experience and aesthetic that the sensation I got from starting it reminded me of my first play of Katamari Damacy. At the time of that game's release, its individual vision and gameplay mechanics were both odd in combination and presentation, as well as not yet accepted as a series or institution of gaming history. With BB, those mechanics are simple enough to pick up and play, but challenging to master and physically demanding as a work out. Your hair chopping will get you moving in all directions and trying different gestures in the space. This is all while surrounded in an environment that is very immersive by way of presentation in spite of being only forward facing and on-a-rail-of-sorts. The subway, and funky, alien entities riding it receiving the haircuts creates a colorful diversity punctuated by sound design like the metro if all its sound was produced by Cardi B. All elements make this one of the most New York-feeling games that I've ever played, as strange as that may seem. If you're down with vibrant, whimsical, weird stuff, check this out.

Played enough to know my niece will love playing this when she comes over! The mechanics were easy enough for a pre-teen and hard enough I couldn't get even 2 stars on my first rush through. Couldn't get LIV to work even though it's supported.

Хотелось бы конечно еще и ритмику сюда добавить - но здесь тут вам не бит сэйбер короч( Пробуйте обязательно, играется круче, чем смотрится. Из минусов разве что ненастраиваемая сложность (некоторым придется туго) и небольшие враки про поддержку LIV (игра требует активного окна, поэтому без второго монитора или танцами с окнами на рабочем столе лив вы работать не заставите).

I was very curious to try this beucase of the mechanics of the hair and scissors, it's a unique thing and i was afraid it'd be awkward, or even broken, but to my surprise it works flawlessly and it's easy to get used to. For those who don't know, you have a giant scissor with both hands, and you have to move your controllers closer and further apart to cut the hair, which can be cut to different lengths. I found the movements done during gameplay more tiresome than, say, beatsaber, even on the first levels, The enemies' hair come in all kinds of angles, speeds, and heights, so you move around the play area a lot, and sometimes you twist your arms in weird positions to reach some of those hairs. If you're the kinda person that enjoys a workout from VR games, there you go. The difficulty goes up fast, which could lead to the player bumping the controllers together in the fervor, so watch out for that. The design of the levels is very nice, although simple. The enemies come in all kinds of shapes and colors, and the bosses have very weird and funny designs. It gives "katamary damacy" vibes, which the music helps to emphasize. The UI is simple but works, only thing i think is missing (or i didn't find how) is a way to set height more precisely than just "standing/sitting" modes, and to rotate/reset the front/sitting position, otherwise you depend on the accuracy of your room setup. If you're into arcade VR games that require you to move around and move your arms around like beatsaber or fruit ninja, you'll probably enjoy it. Thanks to the developer that gave me a key to download and try the game, keep up the good work

Was not really sure what to expect when starting this game. Turned out to be fun! There are some well thought out physics.

A delight to play, very cool and unique art style.

Bizarre Barber is very weird, challenging and entertaining. After you understand the scissor mechanics, the gameplay is surprisingly tight. It's definitely worth its price, especially if you have friends over and want to show them something other than Beat Saber.
